RE: Building a Crackerbox step by step with lots of pics!
Hi all >a lot of info on these page but me i would do the top sheeting in one sheet at a time with ca i say it for guy that been building boat a long time because it you mess up the you have more work on hand then you thing .And by using 30min min epoxy you have more time to move it around to fit it better. But it will be better if you use the two sheet made into one sheet. To do this is to lay the two top sheet on flat bench and arrange them so that the good side face up .now using wide tape tightly tape them together in 4-5 place them run tape down the entire center seam..now flip the joined sheet over and hinge them open .Now use 15-30 min epoxy in that joint and lay the top sheeting on the bench and wipe the seam clean off excess glue and let sit over night .Next is to glue the sheet to deck frame to do is to cut 20 pieces of tape about 8" long or so then sand the bottom of the sheet with 200 girt paper then clean now mix 30min epoxy ans brush cost top of frame then bottom of sheet now just lay the sheeting and tape it down you can add weights on center if need .allow to re over night >hope this help
ORIGINAL: steinersamuel Nooh, not trying to cluter ur thread. I was intreeged by ur autobailers. I've been runnin mine, and it's a real pain to get all the water out of this hull. I also saw you drilled the keel side of bulkhead 4. This will pay off huge for u, nicely done. I'm in the process of modding mine. Here's my rig. I fabed all the harware, except for the SBD setup. Nice job on ur project by the way, looks pristeen. You'll love this hull, it can be pushed further than you would think. GITÂ SOME!!!!! Sammy
Hi m8 the auto bailer work better if they are installer on the lower point of the transom this way when boat running the water go out the back of boat .here a good look at them
http://www.rocketcityracing.com/tek9.asp?pg=products&specific=jrgpmrn0
Hi m8 i been bending stringers into position with the use of steam .And here the way i bend wood my wood/stringers. first i draw and layout the line on paper the i put finish nail in 1/2 ply on the outside of line then i take a pvc pipe and cap one end then i put the wood into it then i use a 1300 watt monster steamer to steam the wood for 5Min then take it out and put it into the building jig and let dry over night or you can bend it on the boat and clamp it down it bean very easy .hope this help anyone ,here some picture of it.
