RE: Evolution F3A
Hi I just bought this airplane used and it looks like I finally found out what this bird is. Can somebody give me power recommendations AND SERVO size recommendations to fly this bird? I'm only interested in sport flying not competition flying. Will an Enya 1.20 4 stroke (no tuned pipe) fly this around ok? I picked up the airframe for 75 bucks used with minimal hanger rash. (Hope this is a good price) I'm glad to actually find what it is!!!! I'm excited to fly it. ITS MT FIRST PATTERN PLANE AFTER 25 YEARS OF FLYING!!! THOUGHTS?
ORIGINAL: TTRotary Got a response from Donuts-Models, the purveyor of this plane. According to them, Horizon Hobby DE (Germany) is now the exclusive reseller. According to Donuts, the plane is still in production and they do a run of 400. No details on where that stands.
So basically still not available from anyone currently.
ORIGINAL: nexusdc5 Hello all, Im very new to this forum regarding the Gee Bee R3 59 inch span. I stumbled upon a guy selling one of these beauties on RCU. I did some research on this plane and it was beautiful. So I bought it, the guy is out of Canada and he says he can get more if anyone is interested. I should be getting mine this week. The Quality of this aircraft is amazing. Just wanted to share the good news. Need to find time to start building it along with the 32% CARF Gee Bee Im presently building. Im putting a Moki 250 in it. Absolutely breath taking combination in Sound and Flight. Sounds like the real thing. Anyways.... Cheers and good luck. Let me know if anyone is interested in information regarding possibly getting one of these beauties and ill put you in touch with the gentle man I bought mine from. :)
PLEASE put me in touch with the gentleman you bought your R3 From. 59'' R3 that is.
ORIGINAL: ChrisAttebery The most consistant spot is the wide point of the pipe. The pressure is going to travel much faster than you'd ever be able to measure.
I agree with my boy Chris! I will tap and Drill mine this weekend (if I can find the stuff to do it with, I have never done such a thing). I need to do it to my warbird very soon.

The gentleman has reasured me that he built it "per instructions" but I dunno.........PLEASE any input would be appreciated! I'm about to buy it today...I hope the degrees of down thrust is accurate and needed. also........******** Can I buy a COPY of the instructions for this pusher jet from anyone??????********* Kevin San Jose, CA

RE: CRRC GF45i
ORIGINAL: CRRCproUSA Hello CRRC'rs, Just wanted to drop a note here to say Merry Christmas! and thanks for the support you have given us these past 6 months. This support is the direct responsibility for us to be able to compete in a market with much higher priced engines that have had a long-standing relationship with the gas model flyer. By now, all of you that have been frequenting this site have seen the increase of North American sales and support as well as direct factory support and service. The feedback that we get from our customers directly translates into improvements at the factory and consequently lower costs to the end users as well as immeditate success of upcoming CRRCpro engines. This is what makes the CRRCpro engine line successful now and well into the future. We support the novice flyer as well as the advanced. Also, if any of you are buying aircraft from LeagueModel Co., we are supporting this line in North America as well. As always, if you have any questions feel free to email Service@CRRCproUSA.com. Thanks Again! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Sincerely, Jim CRRCproUSA.com
I think CCRCpro is trying his best to help. Kudos to you sir. Keep up the efforts. I too am considering this Petro Motor at 45cc. I'm keeping my eye on this thread.

RE: ASP .52 4 stroke questions
ORIGINAL: w8ye The motor will run on whatever fuel you use in your other glow engines. 10% is a good compromise between performance and cost. I use 15% I see people use all synthetic and castor mixtures. I cannot honestly say one is better than the other. There are trade offs. Here is the Manual for the 61 which looks exactly like your 52 on the out side. There's not really much performance difference in them either. http://www.retail-leaders.com/manuals/210985.pdf Jim
Concerning the ASP .52 = Do the 61 and the 52 motors have the exact same demensions? Knowing the piston displacement should be bigger, is the outside the same fit as each other???

I am super curious of this model. They finally put on deacent looking landing gear on those things. It sure is one of the china made model but thats ok in my book. Put her together and fly her! I sure would like to have a shot of it all mocked up and someone holding it for scale purposes. Can you take pics of it all mocked up??

RE: Dymond F8F, anyone totally cured flutter?
I purchased the black one at the AMA convention in Los Angeles. This is a beauty of an airplane. Upon searching through it...I found that there WAS NO SERVO COVERS for the dang thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I have to make my own. I got a pretty good deal there at the AMA convention but I sure wish all parts were in the ARF. Can Someone please take a picture to let me see what that part even looks like? thanks! This baby is beautiful in black. I am putting a .46 with "in cowl muffler" on it. It should power it pretty well. (Its the Tower Hobbies .46 so its the OS .46 clone) Question...what Prop would you all suggest?? The fuse is pretty "bulkey" around. Any suggestions? Maybe 11/5 prop? A 10/6 I just don't think will cut it. Kevin

RE: This could be an interesting plane!
I got the DH 88 Opinions on the .52 4 strokes.....enough power??? I hate the 2 stroke "muffler look" outside the cowels...uuuuugly. BUT would .70 4 strokes fit without moving the motor mount?????? Will it be center??? .x2 .52 Four strokes seem to be a medium powerhouse for thie 88 inch baby..any thoughts?? I have a pair of .46 Tower Hobbies (OS replica) with tuned pipes but the pipes are kind of bulkey. and ugly. I hope the .52 4 strokes would fly it "well"....... (?) Kevin
