RE: help me diagnose engine problem!!
ORIGINAL: SAVAGEJIM
ORIGINAL: AntCamp Went to start car today and let it sit and idle for about 10 minutes. I then went to drive it and it died slowly. I tried to start it but no luck so I then pulled out the plug and say a lot of soot on it! I cleaned the plug put it back in and it started and ran for a few minutes then died again. Pulled plug and it seemd a little wet. Cleaned it and put it back in but it wont start or even kick! Almost like there is no spark but when i checked for spark it seemed like it had enough to start! Could this be caused by bad gas? I also noticed some air bubbles in the fuel lines...is that normal? Thanks ahead!!
Black soot definitely means too rich. You have to lean a tad (dont lean like a nitro, these engines need a 12th of a turn for each tune adjustment, not 8th turn). Once a plug is fouled, it most likely is shot. I know, some plugs CAN come back to life with a cleaning, but many more do not. (Good thing you can buy these plugs at an automotive store for even cheaper than a Nitro glow plug in many cases.) Dont worry for the bubbles if they are tiny. If they are huge, like air pockets in the fuel line, check the fuel pick-up ''clunk'' and make sure it resides at the bottom of the tank and is not sticking its ''clunk''y head above the fuel line. If it is not at the bottom, adjust your fuel line length to it so that it hangs out at the bottom of the tank.
Once a plug is fouled it's shot. That's a faulse statement. You didn't clean it properly. The big problem is toooo much oil. 25:1 is too much oil. You can cut it down. 32;1 is fine .[;)] Some have gone to 40:1. Air leaks also can contribute to it dyeing.
ORIGINAL: Airbus 9e
ORIGINAL: rebelracer246 with lipos do you alwas have to have a voltage regulator? Completlty not compatable. FASST is completly different from AM or FM. or 2.4. You can only use matching modulation systrms. What ever the 3vcs is in modulation you can only use that type reciever any numbera mount channel. The number of channels dosent make a difference. Modulation does.[;)]

RE: engine probs
Replace the intake gasket between the carb and intake manifold with a blue one. You probably have a black one and they can blow out causing the engine no to get enough fuel.

RE: y y y y does it lag
Some people report haveing problems with the 813 carb with poor idle. The lag in responce is due to a Air leak or the engine not getting enough fuel. The exhaust port is not the problem. The problem is on the intake side of the engine. You can run a engine with no pipe or muffler. It will be real loud! So check everything o the intake side , gas tank, lines, carb, intake manifold all gasket filers. The excess oil from the exhaust manifold can be fixed by reducing the oil mix from 25: 1 to 40:1.

RE: two batteries different capacity
Yes you can only run one battery at a time. Running both batteries in parallel one battery will discharge faster and can cause the lower mah battery to reverse voltage.. Always run batteries in parallel when both MAH are the same as is the voltage.[8D] Never mix different size batteries.

Try cycling it. Charging and running it down several times under normal conditions. Then slow charge it @ the Mah exp:( 1500 @1.5 amps) for 1 hr. If the battery dosent improve throw it away and get a new one.

RE: y y y y does it lag
You don't need a new carb? Try a rebuild kit. The gaskets can go bad and you won't even see it untill you take the carb apart. Usuallly the metering gasket or and the filter screen need replacing. This causes the engine to lag or bog loosing top end.[8D]
ORIGINAL: Argess Oh....I've tried that glowplug loosening thing several times, and I could never get any benifit out of it. RE: y y y y does it lag
lag responce is a air leak. check the carb gaskets. If you see lots of air bubbles in the primer bulb the it is an air leak. The primer bulb should be filled with fuel.over 1/2 way.[;)] Or too much oil ratio.
