RE: Black Horse Shrike Commander
Hi, I have built the same model and plan to test it for the first time friday - will post the result. But - in my opinion, the retracts are of very poor quality. I do not trust them and plan to exchange them. They are very loose and do not seem firm.

Hi, I had som difficulties as well with my 55AX's on the first enginerun, could turn the needlevalve all the way in without any problems... But on the second run, I could turn them out to around 4 turns and they ran smoothly with a little 4-stroking. Now they are almost run in, and they turn a 2-blade 13x6 APC 10.400 rpm, plenty of power and with the valves 3 and 3 1/4 out. Fuel is 16% oil, 10% nitro. And the plane flies so beautifull [;)]
ORIGINAL: orvel Very nice Kleist! I'm planning to do something similar with my cockpit and install scale instruments, however I was wondering, did you make the steering yokes also or were you able to buy them in that scale size?
Thanks again.. The yoke was made from one of the kids Barbie-truck. It's just the steering wheel with the top cut of... [;)] (they never played

I agree - in a Mpx EVO, any swich, slider or button can be established to any control; any channel can be set to signal any servo. There are actually no limitations. On top of that, you are totally free to do any mix you want - not as in many japanese radios, where one is slaving another, but true mix. And then it looks great, feels good and does not look like all the others in black and crome... [;)] I read somewhere, that Mpx was first to use FM, PCM, digital servos, programmable digital servos and of course, programmable radios... And that the Futaba 9Z uses an ancient operating system, licenced of Mpx from 1984! Anyway, in the US it's a rare seen radio, but here in Europe it is top of the line. Okey, back to the 310 [:)]
ORIGINAL: MMallory Peter, Very nice. I wish I had a cockpit like yours. Did you make this yourself? Mark
Thanks.. Well, I bought a set of cockpit instruments from my local dealer, modified it and made some changes.. Installed lights, battery-indicator, throttle and so on.. By the way, all lights, including stroboscope in the bottom of the fuselage, are controlled from the transmitter (Mpx Evo 9) via a Mpx MULTIswitch 2/1 and a Mpx RC-flash relay. The 7kg limit, before having to have a "grandmodel permit", is part of danish law and is primerely an insurance issue... -Peter

Hi there, Finished mine last night... Now I have to balance it, run in the engines and have it controlled. In Denmark, all models more than 7kg have to be controlled and accepted. Actually, the penalty could be prison up to two years if you don't have the permit... Here's a link to my thread in the danish forum: http://www.rc-unionen.dk/nytforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=21761 You proberly don't understand a word, but there's a lot of pictures [8D] -Peter

Hi there, I've just had mine last week - it's takes some time before it reaches northern Europe [;)] With Robart retracts and 55AX's... I have a question for you guys about the lightning system, I hope you might help me with: There is nowhere in the manual any specs on how many cells for the lightning system... I was planning a 4-cell 1500Mah I have in spare. Will it work? Thanks, Peter
