RE: Clutch Liner replacement made easy
Woah, i't been a few years since I've seen this posted. I've been using it for several years. However the biggest tweak that I made to mine was to keep the cut in the pvc as small as possible keeping consistent pressure all throughout the liner. When I have mine installed it has no more than an 1/16 to 1/8 inch gap. I also made it so that it has about 4 inches of overall length. This makes gripping the tool with your whole hand easy to do and therefore easier to use. Hope this helps out!! [:D]

RE: Nitro Heli for a high school student; raptor 50?
ORIGINAL: BarracudaHockey If you can't afford to crash it, buy something smaller that you will have some budget to repair. A Raptor is durable but if you hit the ground you're going to start at 80 bucks or so with wood blades and 150 or so if you're running carbons, per crash. (might be more, might be less, it just depends)
$80 for woodies? Getting them shipped from overseas? [:)]

RE: Nitro Heli for a high school student; raptor 50?
durability is definitely not something you have to worry about with a rappy 50, excluding any obvious crashes of course. It can however take a beating. If you are looking at used ones I would look at one that has an OS or YS engine in it. The stock TT engines are a bit troublesome.

RE: question about the raptor bell
yeah... odd about the bell... maybe one of the bearings that is in-line the the start shaft seized stopping the bell thus putting too much torque on the bell..... that's a long shot guess. Did you have any recent crashes? also... check your old start shaft to see how straight it is. pick nice flat surface and simply roll the shaft and check for any wobble. just guessing here... it's bit beyond me

RE: question about the raptor bell
can't really say why you lost it... however this is known as a c-clip or snap-ring. Remove the start collar from the top end and tap the thing out with a punch and hammer (if necessary). To put it on : slide the shaft up/down through the bell and make sure the flats are on top for the start collar set screws to work. At the opposite end of the shaft will be a groove for the clip to snap in. You can try snapping it straight in but it will easier to gently twist the open ends in opposite directions then 'feed' on end into the groove and twist the other back into place. to remove: two pairs of pliers to pull the clip apart and twist it in opposite directions as you did in the install. they unfortunately don't have little holes drilled in them so you can't use snap ring pliers. hope it helps[:D]

i don't have one but looking at it i would put them in some fuel tubing then route them back horizontally on the inside of that tie-wrap then vertically down the side of the skid. maybe blue tubing to match the color of your skid protectors

RE: paint
no too weird rcjon.. there is no such thing as 'true' black. It's either brown/black, blue/black, green/black. they dye is just so dense that black is the apparent color. You managed to extract that little bit of blue that exists in that dye. However, as far as painting is concerned I know nothing about the subject, as what I'm trying to say is awesome job on the dye/paint job!!

RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk
It can be easy depending on your tooling. Take a piece of hardwood, drill a hole slightly smaller than the shaft diameter. Place one end of the shaft in a drill press chuck. Place the the wood on the drill press table and align the hole with the center of the chuck and clamp it down. Now press the shaft down into the hole and it will be straightened out.
ORIGINAL: Abridge04 How do you fix the the main shaft cause mine too bent to fly. I was looking at it and i dont know where to start. Thx
RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk
don't know if it has been mentioned or not already, but helidirect.com started carrying 22e/vnr3d parts for a lot cheaper then I've seen anywhere else even after factoring in priority shipping. They must have started recently because I check that site often for other stuff and never noticed it until yesterday, based out of MA. New supplier for 22e? I'm placing an order with them shortly and will let you know when I get the stuff. Tim: if you read this post..........well..

RE: PLEASE HELP- My NEw Dragon 22E not initialing
don't touch the dips, these won't do anything to help in initializing the receiver. check a couple of things: - make sure you have a fully charged battery pack - place the heli on a flat surface - look at your servos and for this test make sure all three servo arms are roughly at the same angle (sometimes when can get stuck at one of the limits and lock things up. When this happens to me most of the times it's a battery pack that I haven't used in a while as is low on charge (stock battery packs with a 650 mah rating should taking about 1hr 5min to 1hr 15min at the most, but you should figure out what your time is by the "warm to the touch", not blazing hot). Note: Motors don't play a factor in initializing, you can have them plugged in or not and the heli will initialize. GL.. post results.
