RE: which on board camera
ORIGINAL: websterphreaky It also weighs a ton comparatively. I'd like to see you use that in any Multiplex model or a 25 - 40 size 3D plane without making worthless as a 3D plane. The point in using a micro camera is NOT changing the flight characteristics of the model.
It seems with the complaints on here that quality is a issue. I used this camera on the inside of a 40 size j-3 cub and it flew better than without it! I balanced the CG all the same. I also put it on a 40 size low wing sport plane, it flew fine. The camera is only 3.5oz. If you don't have 3.5 oz of thrust to spare on a 40 3D plane, its not much of a 3D plane at all. If you want a quality picture HD is the way to go. At 3.5oz, if you keep your CG the same, you should not notice much change if any. Then again, if you don't care about quality and will settle for 640x480, tape your cell phone to the plane and put it on video.

RE: New Hitec Aurora 9-Channel 2.4Ghz Radio System
ORIGINAL: gsc1161 Mike I am the Plant Manager of a Circuit Board company. If we are a week late, somebody get's yelled at. A month late, somebody is offered the opportunity to seek alternate employement. 4 months late? Like others, I ordered my new transmitter after the April Toledo show, and have aircraft waiting receivers since July (coming any day, right?). Now October? I have software to convert almost any language to English. Manuals the hold up? Come on. Hitec needs to come clean, tell us when working, stable product will be delivered, and what the real delay has been.
Well put! I have had mine on order for a while now. I think with all the delay and the only excuse being manuals, something is up. Hitec, you have lost this customer. I might get a Aurora 9 some day, but not until ALL the promised telemetry items are out. And at the rate you are going that time will be a year from now, maybe. I would hope Hitec would learn from many other companies. Every day your release of a product is pushed back, you will lose customers.... My order will be cancelled in 90 more minutes.

RE: New Hitec Aurora 9-Channel 2.4Ghz Radio System
Thanks for the update Mike. PlaneKrazee, many of us have had the Aurora 9 on order for months now. The Release date has now been pushed back 3 or 4 times. With that many of us, including myself have planes sitting without electronics waiting for this radio. Also, many people have sold their old radio systems prepairing for aurora 9 to come. We all see the posts. We see dates put up, and pass without the Hitec package arriving at our door. It is to be expected people are wanting updates. One can be paitent only so long. Hang in there everyone! I think the wait will be well worth it. I just hope the tele. mods. dont get delayed this much. ;)

RE: Looking for good RC video camera for gas or glow aircraft
Try the RCA HD small wonder cam. I like it. I only have one flight with vid on it so far but the quality is great. Its not small like the flycamone2 but not huge either. Check youtube to see other videos fpv with this camera. A little tip also, foam and foam tape really helps dampen the gas/glow viberation.

RE: New Hitec Aurora 9-Channel 2.4Ghz Radio System
Ok, so here it is July 1. Is there a better idea on when my aurora 9 will be arriving at my local hobby shop? I have a plane waiting for it. I pre-ordered the 9 channel rec with servos version. Also, plans on the release date for the telemetry sensors and mod? Will all the sensors (rpm, temp, fuel, gps) be released at once? Or will it be a part here and there? thanks

J-3 piper cub 1/6 scale
Hey folks, Just wanted to post a link to my videos on youtube of the texasrcplanes.com J-3 piper cub. Its a great plane that is really bringing me a lot of joy. I love the look and little more challenge flying. Also I put a drop switch on it to drop paratroopers. Check it out, tell me what you think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUZxD6KfeDI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDB-2Xe7Za4 If you take a look at my other videos I have some onboard video and how to make your own drop switch.

RE: Which plane?
I too would not suggest any of those planes. Take a look at texasrcplanes.com . They have several planes designed for a step up in performane from a trainer. Like the lonestar. I have one on the way myself. Going from a trainer to a 330 is a huge step. Trainers are exactly that, they are easy to fly in order to teach you. Look for a middle ground between a trainer and a high performance plane for now. Otherwise I think it may be a costly mistake. I will be posting a review of the lonestar on youtube in a week or two after I put it through it paces...I could send you a link if you are not in a big hurry. All in all. Look for a low wing plane that handles a bit like a trainer but has some enhanced aerobatics.

RE: J-3 cub help please
I thought it might be a bit of error on my part. Thanks much guys. I do get on the elevator a bit much I guess once it leaves the ground. I like getting up to one mistake high asap. Also, my cub specs called for it to be 5.5lbs-6lbs. But its about 5lbs on the button. Might be why I can get it to hover. I know with practice and 20% nitro instead of 10% it will hover. I love the OS engines. They have never let me down. Only dead stick I have had in 4 years is because of no fuel. Knock on wood. Thanks again.

J-3 cub help please
I was looking for a little help with my .40 size cub. Its a 71" wingspan with a os 46fx on it and a 11x5 prop. I know cubs are a little more difficult to fly and I can deal with that. But, my only complaint is on takeoffs. I start my roll, get the tail off the ground and slowly pull up. Shortly after doing so the plane uncontrollably pulls stright up. Lucky for me the motor is enought to do 3D flying. It will literaly do a hover for 5 seconds then fall to one side and fly ok for me. No other issues. My CG is set 3" back and once flying it does ok. Not a handfull but will tip now and then. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love the cub look and want to fly it without all the concern.
