RE: how should i pull the aileron servos leads on a widebody 40?
tissue and dope? wow i didnt think that was used for any modern rc aircraft anymore, if i were to put a center ply rib in the wing would there be anything else to change at all with the wing?

excellent, thanks, just wasnt sure if a hole drilled in the center would affect the strength in a significant way

RE: how should i pull the aileron servos leads on a widebody 40?
i havent put the wing halves together, but they already have channels for the leads, and the manual doesnt mention anything about putting wood between the 2 halves, so i guess put the halves together, fiberglass it, then cut a hole

how should i pull the aileron servos leads on a widebody 40?
how should i pull the aileron servos leads on a widebody 40? im not sure how to go about this would it be ok to join the wings (with epoxy/fiberglass) then cut a hole in the servo lead channel in the center of the joined wing to pull the aileron servo leads?

What should I try to get better drifts?
I finally got my Yokomo MR4TC Special drifting, I just wrapped some old tires with some electrical tape and tried drifting on several surfaces, the best surface I used to get good drifts on was at a car wash parking lot, it pretty slippery, ran several packs and was getting some pretty nice drifts outta there, what else can I do to get better drifts out of the car? Im thinking of trying those Yokomo Drift tires, also what about the setup on the car? should I soften, or harden up the suspension? and ride height? lower or higher? how about a roll bar? im going to try some of these settings, hopefully it helps in drifting

is this glue ok to use for wood to foam?
I need to glue balsa on to foam, the balsa is for the leading edges and also for other parts of balsa to foam like the tail group, also is it ok to use this glue for the entire airplane (including fuse) except for joining the foam wings at the center (where i should be using epoxy/fiberglass) i just bought a CA Models Widebody 40 and this is the first time building with foam wings (pre-sheeted)/tailgroup and also first try at using wood glue Titebond Red Original Wood Glue

RE: foam vs built-up balsa
actually the airplane I was looking at buying has pre-sheeting foam wings, I was able to find some pictures of someone building the wings and it looks like you just need to cut out the ailerons and but some balsa on the leading and trailing edges and then sand them down to shape

foam vs built-up balsa
since i've never built a wing balsa-sheeted foam wing, i'd like to know, what usually takes longer to build? a sheeted foam wing or a balsa built-up wing? same question for rudders and elevators too

how about putting some wingerons or pitcherons on the airplane and also some side panels that can extend out and act as huge airbrakes or simply give you more sideforce, imagine knife edge without being high alpha
