RE: Im depressed!
omg, Check you pants for the package you were born with. If you need the engine find a way to pay for it. You will gain my respect that way. Do what you have to do man but if you need the engine explain that deal to your wife, Women understand a bargin look in their closet. Do't sacrafice the family funds. If your in the hobby I'm sure you have some stuff to sell to cover the 200 costs. Get it done man. Limo

RE: Horizon Hobbies Spectrum DX6I Malfunction that destroyed my aircraft
Ok I've read this and will only make a few comments. Sorry about your aircraft Buy futaba I have seen to many jr/spectrum issues around the country. I attend over 10 major events a year and every year I see an aircraft go in. The verdict. Jr/or spectrum systems. Is this just a fluke, Oh don't know. Laudy

RE: DLA 112 ???
Ok I want to clarify, All I am is a older flyer with to much money, I obtained the engines through a mutual friend. all we did is mount the engines on a stand and fired them up and let them go. I wanted this to a be a test of "the guy that is not an engineer and just a guy that wanted to try an experiment" All I know is the DLA failed. My Friend took the engine and to work tore it apart and told what he found. All I know is the DLA failed. That is good enough for me to know that I don't want another. No Lab test, No Controled enviroment. Just two old guys trying to see if one would fail or not. One did fail. End of story. My Firend attempted to contact the distributor and he was told to contact the factory. We are two old vets that don't really give a crap. Just all we know is the DLA FAILED. Ebnd of story. I wish we would of just left it alone now. We got the idea sitting around with the weather not good enough to fly. as ofr 105 flights. The engine never left the ground. THe DLE has since been nounted and continues to perform. Sorry I'm not a lab expert. Make your evaluation. I will now un suscribe

RE: Giant Scale Twins F7F Tigercat
looking Good - Hey the set up you have is similiar to what I have on mine. what they did is sleeved threaded rod with carbon fiber, Plenty strong enough. I have also back up the servo strength with a min of over 300oz on the elevators. Shoould be plenty strong. Remember this is a war bird with some good wing loading as all war birds should have. Not a 3d plane with large control surface deflection. Your set is very clean and strong. You'll be fine Also had a good time meeting Jim O. the other day on his way to California. Picked up my P-51H nice airplane. Good Luck and keep posted. Limo Jim

For what is worth. I would block t he hing points. That way when you fly that little piece of mind is there. Why trust a 8k aircraft to a little extra wood. just my opinion. Laudy

RE: Giant Scale Twins F7F Tigercat
good to see the progress, I have really looked over the kit and what and how it was built and communicated to Mike brown all the time. One option to consider is making the nacells removeable, this really helps when inspecting tank, gear ect. Mine is modified with some hard wood stock and button head screws really a nice set up. Also you might want to beef up the gear blocks. Mike did and it appears to be a good idea. Good luck on teh build and following along. Let me know if you need anything. Jim

RE: Eric Clapp & Jet Central Service
katt, read your thread, does not add up. Eric has helped me (rabbit owner) and even offered to have me call him on my first start up to walk me through it. have not started mine yet so I have not called him. He called me back in a couple of weeks and asked if I was ready to start up. told him will wait until spring. As far as I'm concerned if Eric was selling soup cans running on kero I would buy them from him. I met you once in KC. Tried to talk to you about turbines but when you learned that I had not got one yet you turned you nose up and walked away. G Hinshaw has been great Help. As far as your issues. Give up flying. You don't have the balls........ Limo

RE: pulse xt 40 second plane
I've had the pulse 40 xt and just finishing building the 6o size version, The .40 size was great. A the field I would get to only fly it once or twice then the other guys would take over and fly it and land it. Allot of them say it compares to Gp Super Sportster. I love mine. as matter of fact I have an offer of 150.00 to sell it. Will most likely sell it to my buddy. I have mounted the new .61 NX evolution blue head to my new 60 size pulse. Very nice airplane. Will make a nice addition to my fleet.
