RE: ROAD TRIPS 2012
Thanks for posting the great pictures Sam. Its always nice to see you and your machines at Fond du Lac & Muncie. The picture of the one gal in the tent was so nice, I married her.

RE: Warbirds and Classics over the Midwest
ORIGINAL: samparfitt Done. Got four kits on the 'shelf' (three are Ziroli). Will probably get two done over the winter; not sure which two, but the P-40 will probably be one of them. Roy, Save my 'spot'!
Can't wait to see those new planes. I've got a Ziroli P38 I picked up at Toledo last year, not to mention the Top Flite P47 & Corsair waiting. I can't seem to get anything new started and am lucky to find the time to pull maintenance on two planes for this season. Good Luck! Brian Ward

RE: What do you see in 20 years?
It's not the R/C stuff we should be worried about. Pending legislation (federal) will ban the sale to private persons of vehicles that get less than 30 MPG after the year 2012. Try finding a car or truck that can haul or tow much of anything that gets 30 MPG. Leadgofer

This is for a 50 JR Venture. Are the connectors directly compatable? I am just getting back into outfitting a new heli after being out a few years. I flew a 40 size Miniature Aircraft Xcell for years. Leadgofer Go Green Wave!

RE: What engine did you put in your Top Flite giant P-51?
G-62. Spring starter, isolation mount, Bennett muffler. Plane balanced perfectly with this engine. Yea, the carb and muffler stick out, but hardly noticable on those high speed strafing runs. Now on fourth flying season ( 100 + flights ). Been clocked by differeent radar guns at 105 + MPH. 24.5 lbs all up weight.

RE: Top Flight Giant P-51 - How did you mount your gear doors?
For hinges I used regular CA hinges. I attached the doors to the retracts with ball links on a U-shaped threaded rod that also attaches to the doors. leadgofer

RE: top flite p-51 giant scale build
My P-51 is on its 4th season ( probably has 80 flights ). I have a G-62 with monocote covering. Weighs 24.5 lbs. Has been clocked @ 105 MPH. Mine balanced perfectly with the G-62, muffler, spring starter, vibration mount, so keep the tail light or you'll have to add nose weight. I also use a 2400 mAh battery. You'll have to cut at least a 1/2" off the gear covers if you fly off of grass. I use full flaps to land, ( all throws are as reccommended in the instructions ). [image][/image]

RE: Club shade shelter
Looks great. Our club hasn't had much luck in the past with scrounging or donations. In fact the $ for our project will come from memorial donations from a club member who passed away last April. We hope to be able to dedicate an appropreate item in his honor with these memorial funds. Thanks again, leadgofer

Club shade shelter
The Jacksonville Propkickers Club is looking for information on building a shade shelter, canopy, awning, lean-to, whatever. We would prefer to build from plans or buy a kit. Any help would be appreciated. Tell us what your club has and where you obtained it from or if you built it yourself. Also any book references or web links on the subject would be welcome. Thanks, Brian Ward President, Jacsonville Propkickers Club Jacksonville, Illinois

What prop are you running on your Quadra 75M? Set-up is for a 100" Ziroli SkyRaider. I would also like info on other's experience with break-in and normal fuel, oils and ratios. While we're at it, how about the exhaust/muflers? Thanks, leadgofer
