RE: Help designg sub-(Engineering Project)
If it can be a boat instead of a submarine, you're better off. It will be much easier if you build a boat, slap a small elec motor, drive shaft to a prob, and a rudder to control direction.

RE: Pics of my USS Albacore
Its made my SUBTECH as a kit. You have to build it. They claim it as being for beginners but i found it very difficult and took me 3 years to finish it.

RE: New ballast system
This is very similar on how SUBTECH makes the WTC on the USS Alabcore and Marlin. I dont see the difference. My WTC on my USS albacore works the same way.

RE: storing li-poly's??
ORIGINAL: Red Scholefield I store them at approx 50% state of charge in a small shop refrigerator. Check them every 3 months or so to make sure voltage is in the 50% charge range. CellPro storage charge feature makes this pretty easy.
How do you check to see if it has 50%??? My charger doesnt have a screen.

RE: R146iP is this High or Low or Both band?
ORIGINAL: Bax We looked at the website at the link you provided. We did not see that the R146IP receiver was listed as "low frequency". It does take the "short" crystal, but that's a type of crystal...and "short" crystals come on all of the 72 MHz channels. Just purchase the receiver and then the crystal on the channel you desire and go fly!
Woah thats because futaba just changed it!! Yesterday it wasnt listed as "short" I know and double checked. I guess i made an impact :)

R146iP is this High or Low or Both band?
On the futaba website the R146iP is listed as low freq. Rx I thought ALL R146iP were High and Low band. So does that mean my high band ch. 38 crystal wont work properly? Whats the true story behind this? Here is the link to futaba http://www.futaba-rc.com/radioaccys/futl26.html

I have the futaba R146iP and noticed that Berg crystals are less expensive. Does anyone know if they will work in the receiver? If so who sells Berg crystals?

Axe CP or TREX SE?
I can get a used TREX SE at my local air field which looks to be in good condition or a brand new axe CP. This will be my first heli. I have been practicing on the RF 3.5 but i still have a hard time hovering teh axe CP in one place. My question is which of thr 2 is easier to fly?
