Anyone have any experience with the latest version of the Seawind FP? Looks neat & the price is right. It comes with a 400 motor. Is that enough? Thanks Norm

RE: Carl Goldberg Extra 330 ARF
Hello Pakratt Nice to hear someone is still flying the 330. One of the best planes I have ever flown. Too bad about the landing gear defect. I am sure you figured it as you are still flying the bird. Nice job on the recover! Norm

RE: New Great Planes Revolver
I have a spare. But would not be doing you a favor if I sent it to you. Suggest you replace both sides with an all purpose Dubro single gear. Much more durable. Before installing, double reinforce the hardwood gear attachment. A very bad weakness in this bird. Norm

RE: Carl Goldberg Extra 330 ARF
The reason I asked is when I first owned the 330 I had a Saito 1.80FS in it swinging a 16x8 APC. Power was adequate but nothing to scream about. Due to the lightness of the engine I had to add 4 oz of weight to the nose. Total weight was 14# 4oz. Seems the 1.6 OS 2S may do the trick. Thanks Norm

Ken: Suggest you use the 3m colored tape to fasten the shield to the canope. No glue, just a nice stretch fit which holds. Color match is near perfect. What engine are you using? Norm

RE: Carl Goldberg Extra 330 ARF
Adam: Would you believe the member who has the OS 1.6 has it in the Gene Soucy. Even though he has not been to the field for months as he is a snowbird it was awesome! Do you think the 330 is heavier or lighter than the 300? In the CG 330 are you using the 4 servos as suggested or did you modify to use 2 servos for the ailerons? I used 4 hi torque coreless. I may switch to the 2 servos as it was difficult to sinc. Too much buzzing! I even tried the syncronizer. Wish they still made the the Soucy. Nice bird. Did they ever replace it with another similar plane? Thanks for your help. Norm

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum
Jim Thanks for the reply. My original batteries were 1300mha, 11.1v & 3 cells. These came from Art Tech. 2 years ago. No C rating on the batteries. Can I use a 2 cell or a 3 cell? Does it make any difference? Sounds like Hobby Parts is the choice here. I have bought other batteries from Hobby King. Great batteries! But as stated, 3 weeks & shipping is a problem. Seems most batteries come with a variety of discharge connectors. Soldering is a pain for Deans. Does anyone know if anyone makes an adaptor kit for connections to all the connectors on the market? Anyone?

RE: Carl Goldberg Extra 330 ARF
Ken Birilli 46? Wow! Lots of power for that bird. Looks like you can 3d with no problem..right? Found the Extra 330 I gave to the guy that died. Appears he beefed up the landing gear attachment as you have. Now that I have it back, I plan on a new engine. Prefer to not go gas. Any suggestions on 2s or 4s? The Saito 1.60 did not have enough for 3d. Anyone? Norm

RE: New Great Planes Revolver
I guess I am one of the very lucky with genetics. Just had my annual eye exam. Perfect both eyes. No glasses even for reading. Seems I am waiting but the vision is still good. Hope to fly till 90. Advice is do all the flying you can handle while you are young. You never know. Sorry..gotta go..nature is calling again! Norm

RE: New Great Planes Revolver
The 11x7 is probably the best for that .46. But a .46 is not enough power for that bird in my opinion. Yikes! Some are using 1.20fs & more! Go back & read some of the power being used in the quest for more speed. Norm

RE: New Great Planes Revolver
We do not have fly ins. We are open 7 days a week & fly every day. Not much flying on weekends as there is a no fly zone due to a Flea Market in the area. Still, 5 days is enough. Guests welcome every day. No charge! Norm
