RE: Copperhead Venom 45
Anyone know where I can get a pitts style muffler for my 45? I have the stock one but the tube on the side sticks out to far and points straight back which hits the fire wall. I dont want to hack up my cowl or my engine box to get it to fit. I know bennet mufflers has a muffler but it is not a pitts, it just sticks straight down and is really loud. All of the other pitts mufflers I have, have a narrow rectangle tube that bolts to engine and then angles down to the back tube so it will go under the fire wall. Thanks. P.S. Glad to see Tim is back involved with this thread.

RE: Copperhead Venom 45
Has any one put a different pitts muffler on thier engine? The stock muffler is good but the side canister on it will not fit in my cowl and I really dont want to hack it up to make it fit. I read in acouple of posts the one from the sachs engine might fit but I dont no it will for sure and I dont want to experiment at 75 to 85 bucks a piece. Just wondering if any one has actualy put one on.

RE: Copperhead Aviation Venom 45-30
I hope that my experience is not the norm. for copperhead and from reading other posts its not, but they sure have frustrated me. The engine looks great and I hope it runs as good. Maybe someone from venom will read this and pm me so I can get what I paid for.

RE: Copperhead Aviation Venom 45-30
Just to let people know about my experience with copperhead aviation. I recieved the engine two and a half weeks after I ordered it which is not that big of deal except that I ordered it on oct. 18th and it was supposed to be shipped priority mail which takes three days or less(according to the post office) so it should have been here no later than the 23rd. I called on the 24th nobody answered so I left an Email. I was told it shipped on the 24th. It finally showed up on nov. 2nd and the date on the post office decal on the package said shipped 10/29/07 so thay did not not ship on the 24th like they said. The next problem was that I ordered 1 1/4 stand offs to come with it. They were listed on the packing list in the box but were not there. The bolts that hold the muffler on the engine were missing too. I tried calling every day after recieving the motor and no one will answer the phone so I have left three voice mails with my name, phone number, and my order number and to this day I have not heard back from any one. I have left three emails with all of my information and no one will reply. This kind of problem would be a minor issue with any other company because they would at least answer the phone and try and resolve the issue. The motor has a warranty but if you cant ever talk to someone if it breaks it really doesnt mean much. This is the first time I have ever complained about a company online but these guys have frustrated me to no end. Before I purchased the engine I had a few questions about its dementions and they were quick to email me back but now that they have my money they have washed thier hands of any customer service. I just hope it runs good or I just flushed $380 down the towlet. I would stay far away from company
