Hello All, Thanks for the kind words. It is a lot of work .......... but kits are aways that. When they are finished though, they mean a little more than the RTR boats OR planes. lownslo .... Bob in Indy

RE: My first boat kit build.. Sea Queen.
OK Dreamin' Hemi, ..... And all others following my Sea Queen build, Day Dreamin', is finished! I do have to touch up a couple spots and float it for balance before the maiden cruise. I am pretty picky so I know all the bad areas. [8|] Fortunately there are not too many. I was pleasantly surprised how it turned out. Hope you all enjoyed the build. lownslo ... In Indy.

RE: eeekks ... hope this don't happen!!
Thanks Jan, Yes. ..... I did skim coat the hull with epoxy resin. This went on top of the spot putty which I thought did its job. I still don't understand what went wrong, but it is not real bad. Oh well ..... like they used to say at my RC flying field about a airplane's less than perfect finish. .... 50 people, at 50 feet, will never complain about your aircraft's finish![:D]

RE: Is it just my luck......
Yeah Ron, the handshake on a deal IS gone. Unless I know the person, I would never buy, sight unseen. I should be more "bargain oriented" since I am on a fixed income, but I never shop classifieds. I have never used E-Bay. I am NOT a pesimist .... but I AM an "experienced optimist"!! Experience is the best teacher ..... don't ask me why![8|][:D] lownslo

RE: painting Sea Queen.
To all ...... Thanks so much for your input. I feel I will go with no cloth and do a good job on the resin application. I was just affraid that my glassing job would be sub-par, and the rest of the boat is coming along fairly nice. Pompebled signs all his posts .........
