Looking for foam profile biplane
Ive seen pictures of a foam profile biplane (not sure of manufacture) that im am interested in. the plane appears to be made out of epp foam or the like and looks to be a little bit smaller than a 40 size plane. has anyone got any experience with this or can help me find one?

RE: What Radio is best??
What about using a 2.4 aircraft radio? I have never read or heard of any law that says you cant use 1. That is what I am going to use. Hitec Arora. 9 channel. lots of options and switches to program to.

Sig Wonder Flew Today !!!!!!
Well , after 2years I finally flew the Wonder for about3 mins today. Started out on the suggested rates and figured out real fast thats not the best idea. It also needed several clicks of down trim to fly somewhat lvl. may add a washer or 2 for more down thrust. After the flight I had to come in the house and clean my pants. I was a nervous wreck. I electricfied the wonder with a cheep chinese motor and speed control and used hitec hs 55 on all surfaces. had to add a pretty big brass nose cone to add weight to it and with a 2200 zippy lipo all the way up front balanced pretty well. Greased the landing like it had Ky jelly on it [:D]. So now to build another one from scratch with a glow motor on it. maybe rudders too. has anyone added rudders to a Wonder? if so what does it fly like?

you guys have brought several issues about using quads. seems like the biggest problem seems to be with the supension and the center of gravity. I will have to rethink this project and come up with something better.

BTE Giant Flying King
Anyone ever built one of these? Sure would be a good looking project for this fall. Could use some advice on this before I make the plunge. I've never built a giant scale plane before but this looks to be something I am capable of tackeling.

Can I use these servos in a 50cc class Yak?
I have a new to me 50 cc class Yak 54 ARF which is no longer made. Not sure of the brand of the plane. The wings of the plane has 2 servo slots in each wing, 1 servo slot in each half of the horizontal stab. and a place for 2 servos for the rudder, ganged together. I want to use 5645 digital servos in this plane. The instructions indicate no servo size. the 5645 is rated @ 160 oz torque at 6 volts. If I install 2 5645's in each wing will that give me a total of 320 oz per wing? If so that ought to be more than enough for imac or 3d style stuff. Right? and 1 5645 in each horizontal stab should be more than enough right?

RE: Adf.ly needs to go. Admins, will you look into this?
Minn, Its the "Members Airplane Video" forum. Not the review forum. Where members can post links to their airplane videos. http://www.rcuniverse.com/mvp/mvpPosts.cfm?videocat=1 Its seems it not every link I click on but it sure does seem that alot of links get redirected to the "Adf.ly" site. try it yourself on several links and see if it happens to you. then you will see what Im talking about. Hoefully it wont lock up your browzer.

Adf.ly needs to go. Admins, will you look into this?
In the Members video forum, when you click on a video, there will be an advertisement for Adf.ly. you have to wait for 10 sec or so and click on a button to skip the ad. nearly everytime i click on the button my computer locks up. Im not sure if this a hijack on the site or someting RcUniverse is getting paid for, but this is getting to be a major problem for me and im sure for others. will you look into this please. Thanks, James Smith

RE: YARGGGGGGG..... battery chargers !
yes ! thats the one I have. Darn think came with no instructions on how to set things up. I bought it thinking it would charge a123's and have beat my head to death trying to figure out how to do it. I used the lipo setting and found it charged to 8 volts + . Ill check some more with it I must not be doing something right. thanks for the info

RE: YARGGGGGGG..... battery chargers !
Whoops, I have the turnigy 8150. from what i can figure out is it cant charge 2 cell A123's . when I try to charge them it only offers 2 cell lipo batteries 7.4 volts and it over charges the a123's. and the cellpro 4 charger i have from what i can figure out can only charge through the balance plug. I dont want to have to pull the cowl off everytime i need to charge the batteries. I went to their website to try to find an adapter for it so i can use a deans plug to a futaba style connector and use a chargeing switch to charge my plane at the field. and when i come home i can pull the cowl and balance charge them.

YARGGGGGGG..... battery chargers !
Ok, so I went out and bought 2 A123 2300 packs to go into my new Yak 54. I also went out and bought the Turnagy battery chrger thinking it would charge them. But, It doesent. So im in the market for a charger that will charge them . I want to be able to charge through the Deans plug at the field and when i get home I can balance charge them too. Another problem I ran into is the freaking balancing plug. no 2 plugs are the same are they? I also have a Cellpro 4 charger that will charge A123 batteries but the balancing plugs doesent fit my charger. any uggestions on a charger? would like 1 that will do it all.

RE: Photos Of Trailer Interior Layout, Please Post Yours Too!!
I got a 5x8 box trailer that im making into a plane hauler/camping at the field trailer. My concern is heat build up. I have a roof vent to install and side vent. My plan is to keep my planes in there full time. Ive heard horror storries about canopies distorting from the heat build up. I live in Tennessee and it sure does get hot here. what are your experiences?

RE: TBM Goldwing RC YAK55M 30cc ARF Build
Ifly , I went with 5645's all around , and a little jr standard digital on the throttle. On the oil issue, If you go buy a new stihl weedeater, blower, you get the new senthitic oil. They recommend this oil over the petro base. My Zenoah g20 came with a bottle of senthetic Evolution brand oil. Man that was some good stuff! I liked it so much i used it in my weedeaters and blowers too.Little to no residue and smokeless too. I prollably will order some more of the evolution oil asap.
