RE: Official E-Maxx Thread
So I am a LiPo newbie, never owned, charged, or drove with one. I have a MRC Superbrain 977 charger which I am told can do LiPo's. My question is this, if I go to LiPo's do I still run two of them? Which ones should I buy (2s, 3s, 20c, 30c, how many MaH's)? What Voltage batteries should I buy? Do I need anything besides my current charger? Thanks for the help guys

RE: battery ideas
What kind of batteries are you looking for? NiMH - go check cheapbatterypacks.com LiPo - Go look at Hobbycity.com for their zippy packs

977 problems/questions
I have been having some issues with my 977 charger. I read the instructions for it but still cannot figure out what is going wrong. Charging: I have two 4600MaH NiMh batteries and if I hook them both up and charge at 4 amps (one on a one on b) when they get done they are both at about 2000 Mah per hour according to the charger. Same goes for my two 5000MaH batteries If I hook them up and go to the MaH setting and put in 4600 or 5000 respectively I cannot get them both to charge at once. If I do one at a time on channel A, sometimes they will charge to full capacity but sometimes they will not. Discharging: It seems like some times when I try to discharge it will start to discharge and beep and be done in only a couple of seconds even though I know the batteries have not been run much from a full charge. Any thoughts? Should I contact MRC directly?

Spectrum Radio Questions
First I am an R/C newb for the most part. I have an e-maxx, a crawler, and a little CEN ME16. I do not have a 2.4Ghz radio yet but am thinking about ordering one. I have a couple of questions about them and have not been able to find answers yet. Hopefully I can word these so they make sense, if not tell me I am an idiot and I will try to re-word this. If I order a radio how many channels do I need? Does a crawler have a channel for the front steer, a channel for the rear steer, and a channel for the throttle? If I install diffs that I can lock from the remote is that another channel? When I buy recievers for the vehicles how does each receiver link up with one radio? What I mean is I install the receiver in my E-Maxx and turn it on and my radio on. How does the receiver in the truck get signal from the radio? With the old ones I know they work through the crystals but do not understand the Spektrum stuff. Thanks for any and all help everyone.

RE: Which Crawler should I buy?
As long as you have at least $600 to spend on on eit is the way to go. If you are just starting out in crawling you should not buy a Berg, get a cheap capable one and see if you like it. That is why I bought the Redcat RS 10 to make sure I liked it. The RS10 is one amazing crawler out of the box. It can also be upgraded quite a bit. If you are new to crawling buy a redcat, if you are not new to crawling you should have your own opinions about what is good and what isn't.

RE: Which Crawler should I buy?
If I were you I would buy one that can be upgraded but is not too expensive for your first one. I just bought a redcat racing RS10 and couldn't be happier with what it has showed me. I have since upgraded and am actually selling it if you are interested, let me know.

RE: Official E-Maxx Thread
Well I just bought this www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm and this www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p and two 7 cell Elite 5000MaH NiMh batteries with TRX connectors Should I be looking for any specific spares or hop ups right now? My second question is in case I want to go with lipos. What does all of the letters/numbers mean in a lipo battery description. for example a 4000mah, 2s 20c. I know the 4000 is the milli amps per hour which describes how long the battery will run in laymens terms. What does the 2s and 20c mean.

What is a good charger for 2 batteries?
I am ordering an E-Maxx today and want something that can charge two 7 cell NiMh batteries at once. I will have batteries between 3300MaH and 5000MaH. Thanks for any and all help.

RE: Help ID these engines please!
Okay, I noted both points (not several). I adjusted my post to not have a price, sorry about that I hadn't seen that rule anywhere. As far as the transmitter goes it is a post 1991 transmitter so it had to meet those guidelines before it could be sold. Had stang asked instead of assumed I could have explained that. He also called all of the stuff junk and said the engines were taken apart so I responded in the same tone he did. I apologize if I offended as well as for putting a price in but do not appreciate the tone of his comments. Things like this is what drives people away from forums. I may not have a lot of posts but I have bought things from two different members and put more people into the RC community (me and all four of my kids).

The OS is a .25 so the MECOA must be around .46 or so. All of it is listed in the market place

RE: Help ID these engines please!
I do know of their condition, they both have compression and cycle just fine. What makes you say they look to be taken apart? They both have the engine, muffler, and carberator. What other part is there to an engine except an air filter? You wonder if a 72MhZ transmitter is legal? Do you even fly planes? Of course a 72MhZ is legal for planes. Some courses only allow 2.4GhZ for competitions but allow 72MhZ for average fliers. I know all of this as a non flyer so I don't think I will take your word for anything.

Help ID these engines please!
Can anyone tell me what these are? The bigger one is a MECOA but I have no clue what size it is. The smaller one is an OS MAX FP but again I have no clue what size it is. I just aquired these in a trade and am going to get rid of them along with the other stuff in the pics but wanted to know what it was before I advertised it in the market place. Thanks for the help everyone!

RE: CEN ME16MT review by Wheelnut
Hey nut do you still have the setup you put in yours? Any chance you are selling it? Also I seen you were getting into planes and heli's, well I just acquired a bunch of plane stuff, a couple of older kits, two engines, a few servos, a Futuba radio, a 7 channel receiver, misc wheel and parts, and a couple of fuel tanks. I am probably going to list it all in the market place if you are interested.

So both the MG and the ME are a blast but I have decided I am going to stick with electric. I have the MG with maybe 10 tanks of fuel through it and no broken parts I am going to part with. If anyone is interested let me know. I may be interested in trading for a BL system for my ME. It will soon be in the market place along with an awesome RC10GT with a ton of parts for sale!

RE: CEN ME16MT review by Wheelnut
Nut, Is there any EZRUNs that are a little less expensive that will still fit? How do I know if it will fit into the ME? I don't know much about these but if you had a 12t in yours won't a 5.5t like the one you put the link for be crazy fast? Would it be faster than your old one? I let the kids drive this so I don't want it to be insane fast, just faster than stock. Sorry about all the questions but thanks for the help.

I just got both the ME and the MG from someone on here. I am looking for some spare parts for both and maybe a good motor/ESC for the ME. Would it be worth putting in a 19t associated motor, or would I even notice the difference.
