RE: Vortex SS
Does anyone know how good this truck does in grass and sand? I'm thinking of getting one for x-mas kinda as a present to myself but it looks like it might be made for on road driving.

RE: fixed dogbone, now new problem
well with the help of the neighbor the steering on the truck got fixed today. I still don't know what everything on the truck is called but the problem was that, the arm coming off the servo that connects to the tires to turn them the piece with the spring and spacers that rotate some how came loose and i loss the spacers and another piece to put tension on the rotating piece(sorry if it doesn't make sense like i said i don't know what everything is called) well with the help of the nieghbor we clump together 3 or 4 washers and screwed the cover back over the servo arm and it gave the truck enough tension to turn the wheels like they suppost to turn. Just incase anyone is wondering the truck is a 1/8 scale eathquake

fixed dogbone, now new problem
So went outside to run my truck and noticed the truck had trouble turning and noticed a slight bend in the front dogbone. Think it was the stump i hit last time i ran it.

RE: fixed dogbone, now new problem
Fixed the dogbone thanks to the sugestions. but now the truck is taking really wide turns. Just to get it to run in a straight line the steering trim has to be turned all the way to the left. any ideas how to fix this? like i said i've already tried adjusting the steering trim on the remote control and i've replaced the batteries in the truck as well as the remote.

earthquake 3.0 help! update
I just bought a earthquake 3.0 and been having a few problems. I got it running fine on a hard surfaces breaking it in, but when i hit the grass or any thing that causes it resistance and give it gas the engine cuts out. i have a theory that maybe i'm running it to rich and when i give it that extra gas to run in grass it drowns the engine. i have'nt been able to lean the engine yet and test this theory cause the pull start broke on me last time i ran it on hard surface so i'm waiting on new one.

RE: earthquake 3.0 help! update
well I finally got my srtarter fixed and have it running without cutting out on grass or anything that is going to cause it resistance but now i am have a problem with it overreving. it wants to take off on its own. I've adjusted the HSN to where it'll go on grass or anything that gives it a lil resistance about 2 and 3/4ths turns from fully closed and i adjusted the LSN to where when i pinch the fuel line it revs for a few seconds then cuts off. I also been playing with the idle stop screw but don't know how many turns its spose to be from fully closed. any help would be appreciated thanx

RE: no command and lots of frustration! a warning for beginners!
a few things i forgot to mention earlier ....i spent the past year practicing flying on real flight g3 flight simulator...and the firebird is my first plane ..i knew from reading that the commander2 was a 2 channel airplane but i just thought ok i spent the past year flying on the sim and gottin pretty good at 3 or 4 channel planes, i should beable to fly this no problem right?...WRONG......the control set ups are a lil different on 2 channels which required me to do a lil more thinking while flying....and plus when your actually out flying in a field and not on the computer you tend to get a lil excited while flying and make bad decisions and end up in that one tree on the field[:D]

RE: no command and lots of frustration! a warning for beginners!
just came in from my short dissapointing but fun while it lasted first flights[8|].....i had a buddy of mine launch the plane ,,,first couple of throws he wasn't putting enough force behind the launch so the plane did a couple belly flops ....when we finally got it airborne i could only keep it above ground for only bout a minute before crashing ...everything still seemed to be in working order so we lauched it again and this time i managed to hit the one tree in the middle of the field and tore the plane all to pieces but i hoping it won't be that hard to fix...as the wing suffered a big rip and one of the steering flaps on the tail was ripped completely off..not to mention a few scratches on the nose ...i really hope there isn't any enternal damage......its going to have to sit for the next couple weeks till i can get the money to fix it, prolly sometime after christmas[:o]
