RE: Why are my brakes so weak??!
ORIGINAL: steed2 grab a hitech 645 mg servo. use it in the steering position and use the sf-2 steering servo for the throttle brake and make sure to use a hump back rechargable reciever pack. remove the spring on the brake rod and replace it with a piece of fuel line. she will stop so good it'll do a front flip. the hitech's are cheap and strong also. (noticable stronger than the sf-2. cheers and good luck-scott
Unless u have one to donate i don't think i will be able to go that route lol i already replaced the spring with fuel tubing but the problem still persists.

RE: Savage X difference
O lol i actually have that exact model lol ask away.... the diffs are not changed from the older versions, it comes with decent waterproof servos, tvp plates are the same i think the dog bones are strengthened a little im not sure though, and the knuckle are the same also. i would say 98% of the parts can be switched between the older model -Miguel
ORIGINAL: SLAYERDUDE The pic you posted is not a BP diff. The BP is a 9T/29T. [image]http://www.tcscrawlers.com/images/P/102692_002p.jpg[/image] HPI will likely send you a BP diff as a warr replacement tho, you should request they send 2 so the gearing matches since the BP are a slightly different ratio. Since links to my forums are forbidden here...[8|] My shimming walkthru is pinned on the Toyz forums - http://thetoyz.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27292&pid=414099&st=0&#entry414099
I kno those are the BP ones i just hope they send me 2 if they send me those!

RE: HPI Savage X 4.6 2011!!
ORIGINAL: steed2 i cant believe 7 days in and youve already thrashed the front diff...ouch, and yea i would be writing hpi an email, they have excellent customer service, and they definately shouldn't be calling those diff's bulletproof...id be pissed. but these are just bumps in the road to an awesome truck. try letting off the gas or brake when landing from jumps, not saying thats what you did just a heads up. my first savage was an x 4.6 about three years ago, first run the steering servo broke, hpi sent me a new one no questions asked, all they wanted was a copy of my reciept, then last fall i grabbed a flux hp and had an issue with the wheel hex's stripping, one email from my smart phone with some pics and 4 new mounted gt-2 tires on warlocks were in the mail, no questions asked, didnt even ask for a reciept-they are the best customer service i have ever dealt with, now my local hobby store on the other hand i would like to strangle those guys.....lol-cheers and good luck!!
7 days?? more like 3!!! i called and they told me to send pics and a proof a purchase so i emailed them hopefully they will treat me like they did u im not a newb so i kno enough and thiss shouldnt be happening this soon...
