RE: Look what I bought for $30.00!! What is it?
ORIGINAL: ThermalRD Those should be common size servos. Should be able to use whatever brand you like.
As I have learned. I was looking for a Dura Trax brand servo's :P [link=http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s298/mac_24_sevennn/ranger%20time%20slips%20and%20vids/?action=view¤t=VTS_04_1.flv]I work on real cars and trucks...[/link] ( bet you've never heard that one before :P) [link=http://s155.photobucket.com/albums/s298/mac_24_sevennn/Dyno%20Day/?action=view¤t=QuicksilverNitrousDyno.flv]Nitro's are new to me...[/link] I wasnt even gonna get one anytime soon, but this deal came up and I had to jump on it. I'll eventually end up with a new Traxxas Nitro Stampede.. But this'll be a good learning experience. Lets hope this duratrax is not too big of a piece of junk that disillusions me out of the hobby. The local hobby shop does carry parts for Duratrax stuff, so at least I'll have a near by resource.

I believe your right... It's a duratrax. I'm havin a hard time finding a servo for it though. Even on the PDF file you linked me to, it doesn;'t list the steering or throttle servo. WTH?

Needs servo's and a remote, but it runs fine. Needs a lil cleaning though. Any clue as to what it is? RE: "OFFICIAL"Redcat Racing 1/10th BUGGY
My first post :) My bro in law and I are looking to get into the Nitro cars.. He's gonna go with a much more expensive and pwoerful one.. while I"m gonna take baby steps and go with the Tornado Xl ( or shockwave). I think it'll be plenty fun/fast enough for what I need. Basically, what I want to know is what are the weak points on these and what spare parts I need. I've read about some gears stripping, but it was on the BB pro I believe. Not saying this lil car is gonna break the first time I take it out, but I've been around race cars/trucks all my life and stuff breaks. It's part of the game ;)
