RE: NEW SEBA JET - AVANTIS
Well i did get a reply from the distributor today. Looks like not gonna be released until Sept [:(] i was hoping could get one for the summer....... Sounds like it should be under 2k, possibly with air retracts?? in the posts ive seen so far they all say electric.... wonder if there is going to be a package deal as well with the turbine.. I guess time will tell..

Cant wait to get my hands on one of these. Sounds like we should see pricing any minute now in the UK. I did email the distributor before Nuremberg and they said it should be released just after......... Watching this like a hawk........ [8D]

RE: Sebart Miss Wind S 50E
Interesting...... I have a 4900 but thought it might be too heavy so have been running the 3700's instead. Do you 3d yours with that battery?

RE: Sebart Miss Wind S 50E
I wonder if i have my CG reference wrong as looking at the pics in this thread the batts seem to be way further back than mine. What sort of weight is your battery? I also notice that it feels quite heavy in the flare. Mine is currently on 120mm from LE top wing.

RE: Sebart Miss Wind S 50E
What CG are you guys running for 3D flying? I tried 120mm but still feels nose heavy, anyone share any feedback? I know in the past with Seba planes i have normally been behind the rearward limit to get it flying sweet........... Thanks in advance

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
On the retract front the digitechs need a mod to the wings as the wells on the mk2 are shorter than the mk1 plus you would need to widen them for the oleos. The nose well will also need modding as it is too shallow. Easy mods but takes a little time. Other than that would recommend them based on quality plus they come with the trailing links as well.

[quote]ORIGINAL: madfreestyler RCPI, Heres what i have done so far, im not saying this is the defacto standard but ive been through this forum more times than i can count and this is what ive done so far :- Fuselage -Formers modified to accept 50oz dubro tank sits above the wing tube (found it actually holds 1.8 litres and i had spare ones so a bonus) -Going to stregnthen the formers and fill

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
Anyone know where i can get a set of engine mounts made up in the uk? I had a look at using the originals with the 6mm spacer the height is perfect, however the thermocouple on the engine means id have to cut a chunk out, think id feel safer with some stand off posts with a flange on the end.

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
Just wondered what this is in relation to the original mounts. My judgement by eye aint the best, would rather be more accurate if poss.

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
How about the height with this engine should the original mounts do it or do they need to be raised? I think the PST is simular in size to the MW54's.

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
Im running RA250's air up and down, figured id separate the tanks for max pressure for the retracts and have reserve for the brakes. Ive never used duals before so wasn't sure which was best option. Turbine wise running a PST600R think they are arounf 15lbs or there abouts. Guess 6 deg would be ok for this?

RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet
Hey All, Ive finally managed to clear the decks a bit so that i can progress with the Falcon build. I have a question around the turbine mount. Looking at the original it was suggested to raise it 15mm then have 6 degrees of down thrust. Would anyone concur with this? Also would 3mm stud x 4 be ok to hold in place or is a more robust setup required? What size tanks are you using for brakes?

And now for the next problem :-(. Theres a 5mm gap at the root near the trailing edge. The front of the wing is flush but im not sure if it can be flown like this. Have attached a pic, any thoughts?

No kidding took 60 seconds for both job done nuts are removed. Glad im going through this process as the original left hand side is 1.5 degrees out from the right.

RE: Extreme 88
Like the tip guys, gonna give it a go today. A mate also suggested making a new false root but i think the heat trick is a much easier option. Will report my findings shortly. Weather not so good here typical british weather so its most definitely hangar time :-)

RE: Extreme 88
There are 2 stab retainers. The foremost is directly below the new anti rotation pin position so holes are required for both. Ive done the ar pin hole but i want the 2 retainers as per original config. Without removing the original position blind nut you cant fit a new one for the new position hence need to remove so i can get the new one in. (this isnt an incidence problem this is that the stab i have doesnt fit the fuse see original post).

RE: Extreme 88
Hey Guys, Just started to do the mod. Was holding out on a reply hoping that either EF on one of their dealers would be able to help but have drawn a blank, bit dissapointing really...................... anyway any tips on removing the blind nut? Ive managed to do the first anti rotation hole and got the incidence bang on, only problem is that it looks like the blind nut for the retainer has been glued in. I tried to remove it but the doubler as start to split so im a bit stuck. Any suggestions?

RE: Extreme 88
Well i just checked the following Stab tube hole and locator peg seem to be centre of the stab cord. On my bench = -2 also checked canopy base -2 centreline of wingtube and locator -2 and top of the engine box -2 so i guess if i just move the locator peg and front pin fwd on the same datum job is done :-)

RE: Extreme 88
Hey Joe, Can the canopy base be used as the datum? I was looking at the stab and as the tube and the rear retainer still fit and the incidence is right then i can use them to keep the stab aligned. I guess if i set the canopy base to 0 and the tail is 0 that answers my question. As default should the stab and wing = 0?

RE: Extreme 88
Fancy popping over to do it? [:D] On a serious note at least it looks like the dowel is in line with the old position so i should be able to just move the hole forward, ill double check it with the meter but should make things a little easier.

RE: Extreme 88
Thanks for the reply, Looks like the distance between the holes is 80mm on the fuselage, do you know if that makes it the older or newer one? Dont suppose you know if the stab with 80mm gap can still be sourced? Thanks in advance

Extreme 88" Extra Stab Problems
Hey All, I recently purchased a part built EF Extra. Im just getting around to the final fittings and have run into a slight issue. When i put the stabs on the forward retaining tabs and the metal peg dont line up with the pre fitted / drilled holes on the fuse. Ive attached a few pics have i missed something here? Any advice much appreciated, cant wait to fly it but at the moment im a little baffled. Thks in advance

Hey Chaps, Anyone else using the digitech ready built u/c set. I was wondering if you had to modify the mains bay to accomodate as mine seem to be short. Is this the norm or have i got the wrong ones?
