RE: where to find races
I see you are from MD , They run most sundays at Hollywood fire house in Hollywood MD . Get on IMDRA.com and get hooked up with gregrc. he is the one who runs it down there.

RE: HORRIBLE CRASH!.. what to do now!
RJ Speed is a Good ENTRY level kit , If you plan on making any kind of power you will need to change out the hubs and axle to aluminum clamping style hubs, also would buy bearings for the front and back Which the higher end drag cars come with all the above.

RE: HORRIBLE CRASH!.. what to do now!
I dont Think the 2 speed from that dragster will fit the high end drag cars , Personally I would just start over and go with a walbern or A-51 car ect. If you are on a budget or just dont want to spend alot because you want to try out drag racing before you spend alot of money then there are alot of NICE used cars on the market. I personally only buy used stuff from people I know but you can always find good deals.

RE: A few questions regarding tunning.
Sounds like it might be a little to rich on the bottom . Screw your bottom needle in a 1/8 turn at a time and see if it gets better. Also might be rich on top.

Best bet is to buy soft drag foams , if thats not good enough for you than PARAGON works good, They will get softer and softer the more you use it.

RE: Newbie to RC Drag
Not sure of really anywhere to race there , I live in Southern MD and there is a guy that sets up on sundays at a local fire house for test and tunes , But I honestly never really go there. I try and go to national event and reginal races up and down the east coast. The nats are usually 3 day events and by the 3rd day you have had enough racing to get your fix till the next event. You need to check out www.imdra.com that forum is more up todate on all the rc drag racing that goes on.

RE: Drag Racing
If you go with a RJ speed car buy a Drag axle and Clamping style hubs from , Walbern , or GMS ECT . Since you are bracket racing you can go with many different apps of motors batts ESC ect. if it were me , I would go with Mamba or Tekin ESC Brushless set up, you can always turn the power down for bracket and if you want to go fast you will already have stuff capable of doing so. Thunder power seems to be the Choice of most drag guys for batts. I would go with a 2 cell lipo to get you going. P.S I would check out www.imdra.com & www.rcdrags.com , These two sites will give you a little better and quicker response

RE: gearing?
Tire size also is a big part of it. I always ran around a 2.5 tires on my Bracket cars , With gearing around 21 / 90 and just go from there ! But this should be a good starting point. also depending if the motor is a single , double ,triple turn ECT also matters. I always use the Final drive for a Good referance. the gear I gaver gave you above = a 4.28 . ( 90/21=4.28 ) so anywhere from about a 3.70ish to 4.50ish depending on tire size.

www.teamwalbern.com www.grandmotorsports.com www.dragraceconcepts.com Not many People run the Micro Switch set up anymore. With the New Technology they are going faster with brushless set ups. The best part of the Brushless deal is not Cutting arm,Brushes Springs ECT.

RE: im new to this
FuelCrazy is correct , If you are just getting into Drag Racing I recommend you start with a Electric car. Electric IMO is the Easyest & fastest way to go fast. I prefer Electric for my drag cars and Nitro for my Dirt Oval cars. Also the web sites he put up there is the way to go. I would serch the IMDRA site first and register, also rcdrags.com.
