RE: T-28 Dave Platt
Larry, Dean I did the same thing. I had to add the extension after the fact with triangle stock. Boyd.

RE: Charlie Kellogg's TBM Avenger Build
Cannonball, It was a high speed stall. I thought at first I had raido problems. My first thought was to put in on the ground as soon as possible. Cut the engine, it went behind some trees and could not see it. I was attempting to put it down before it came within contact with the Interstate next to our field. I'd rather have a demolised airplaine than a lawsuite. Sometimes we have to make split second decisions based on our knowledge at the time. As it turns out it crashed within 200 yards of the interstate. Boyd

RE: T-28 Dave Platt
Dean, I went with a Fuji BT-50ESI (46.50cc). In order to fit in the cowl without making holes on the top I inverted the engine. By doing this you have to move the engine forward of the nose gear rails. I've loaded some pictures for your review. Although I have quoted the move of the engine forward 2 1/2" double check for your self to make sure this works for you. If you want the whole series on how I did the entire engine mount etc. I can send them to you. Larry, Good luck on the maiden flight of the P-38 Boyd

Dean, No flies lighting on you. What progress. Looking good. I like the rudder light. I need to add one also, but won't be functional. Are you going to use the same method you used on your earlier T-28 for closing the door thats attached to the center of the wing with a bracket? Be sure and send some pics of that, because I'm still not sure how to get that one closed. Boyd.

Nav-Air, I'm planning on building one of Charlie's Trackers as soon as he is able to get Sierrra to build the retracts. I called Sierra and told them I would be interested in the gear set. They told me they would need several orders to build. You might think of calling them if your interested in the same set. Boyd.

RE: Charlie Kellogg's TBM Avenger Build
Peter, Nice web site. I'm sure you can imagine the cost involved with this type of work. I had the professionels do all of the work. My freind Steve (Warbirdrcer) started by changing the 304 to a crated 350. When he got done, the interior of the engine compartment looked brand new. He's to blame for the remaining restoration. I could not have the engine compartment looking better than the rest of the truck. What's icing filler? Is it sold in the auto departments? Boyd
