RE: GST 7.7 shifting (WOULD LIKE RESPONSE FROM CEN)
You cant tell me that all gst trucks shift fine at the factory but some how quit working in the box. And as far as cen standing behind there product, Thats just not true!! my truck had a few small problems with the start shaft and spring and after talking to cen they told me they would give me a discount on the parts I needed to replace on a brand new truck. To me it doesnt seem like you stand behind your product like you say. If it wasnt for the great people on forums like this, there would be alot of gst's out there not working. Just for a small count, How many cen gst owners have ever had 1,2,3 speeds work with just a tweak or two out of the box after break in. PLEASE SPEAK UP AND LET CEN KNOW THEY CANT KEEP DOING THIS TO US!!!

GST 7.7 shifting (WOULD LIKE RESPONSE FROM CEN)
I have my truck running again and have done the third gear mod. My truck does shift once about 15 feet out does anyone think this is 2nd or 3rd gear or how can I find out. I have run and watched really good I feel the truck is starting out in first and Im sure I am not missing a shift. Thank you to all that are here helping people and sharing thaughts. A question for CEN, By the sounds of it very few if any GST 7.7's ever shift with out doing mods or tons of adjusting. How can your company keep advertising and selling something that doesent work. I am sure there are laws out there that should keep that from happening.

RE: any one have the gst 4ws put in their gst?
I had it on my truck and it was just way to hard to control. If the truck was much slower like a crawler it would be great but at these speeds its just to tippsy. Spend the money on a better steering servo and she will turn fine.

GST 7.7
I havent been able to get more than one tank of fuel through it with out something breaking again. Cen support doesnt even respond when sent emails. I have run nitro trucks for many years in a fun backyard setting and never owned such junk as this. I have two duratrax trucks that I can beat and beat, other than a loose screw now and then they still run. I have less than a gallon of gas in this cen and I'm gonna have to completely disassemble replace bad parts and set up myself. I just hope I can save someone the mistake of buying cen

RE: GST 7.7 NOT MADE TO RUN, BUT NICE TO LOOK AT!!!
I would stay away from the rear steer. I had it on mine for a very short time, the truck is to fast to keep under control. Rear steer should be saved for slow rock crawling and stuff like that. My biggest bitch with the gst is the lack of support from cen, but I have said my piece on that. I understand the frustration from Jamie, you spend that kind of money on a truck that is so called "RTR" and all you get to do is work on it. Kinda really sucks. Just keep with it Jamie I think if we can get these trucks tuned in and running for a while it will all be worth it. If not like I said before they are nice to look at so we can put them up on the mantle while we run our other trucks. [)] Does anyone still think that the third gear shoes need more weight or is it just in adjustment?

I am not sure what happend, just driving around in a figure 8 and when taking off fast I noticed front tires wernt driving. other trouble is truck never seems to change gears, always in second, I think. according to wear marks. I have tried adjusting them tighter and looser. gonna try cleaning off all the burrs off everything and try again.

RE: GST 7.7 NOT MADE TO RUN, BUT NICE TO LOOK AT!!!
I am sorry that all I do is bash Cen but, I get upset with a company that claims to have the best service and support when they wont stand behind there product. I apologize to anyone that I have offended. I just get so mad when I have spent so much money and haven't driven this truck enough to say so. My beef is with Cen and not other owners. Like I have said before I am not new to this sport and am a mechanic by trade so I know somewhat what to expect out of these trucks and am sad to say Cen has let me down. I am going to fix my truck and do some upgrades. When it is running and moving it is an awesome rig and fun to drive. Just hope I can get some longer running streaks.
