I use the associated ones, and i love them. I installed the Ti-nitride (or what ever they are) shafts and they are pretty much indestructible

RE: Having trouble starting with the EZ Start
I say kill it, I went through 2 ez starts in a month (the wand thing) and said screw this crap, installed a pull startm and have never been happier, plus I don't need to have that gigantic thing in my pocket/on my belt. also my 3.3 starts faster using a pull start

RE: E-Maxx Good beginner?
I owned one for like a month, it was fun. I was told they were "indestructible", but when it was breaking as much as my tmaxx, I sold it to my buddy. I wasn't going to stick crap loads of money into 2 different Rc's, just so they wouldn't break. I preferred my tmaxx over the savage, so I kept that. Like I said they are both good Rc's, and different things break on each one

RE: E-Maxx Good beginner?
A 1/8 scale buggy will take more of a beating than a savage, tmaxx, or any other monster truck i can think of, obviously depending on the buggy. Ive drove my buddy's buggy into curbs, houses, cars, and it just bounces off and keeps going. We have taken that thing off jumps 20ft in the air, and it takes it, try that with a stock savage/Maxx repeatedly

RE: E-Maxx Good beginner?
I say look at a 1/8 scale buggy as your first rc, most of them take a hell of a beating. Monster trucks tend to be heavy, which translates into more damage when you crash. But if you want a monster truck, then the emaxx isn't bad. You will want to get some Flm Bulkhead (stockers are kinda fragile): http://www.fastlanemachine.net/proddetail.php?prod=FLM10200&cat=15 http://www.fastlanemachine.net/proddetail.php?prod=FLM10300&cat=15 and Rpm A-arms, and shock tower's. then it will be pretty much indestructible http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=+&FVSEARCH=80462&search=Go http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=++&FVSEARCH=80162&search=Go Belive me its worth the extra money to get good parts, the traxxas bulk heads are like $12 a set, and the a-arms are like $5 s set or somthing like that, and you will go though allot of them

RE: need opions
I wouldn't say the revo is a truggy failure, yes stuff breaks on them, but find a rc that doesn't have that problem. Its a little over priced, but not a horrible rc

RE: need opions
as ive said 1000 times, savages break, tmaxx's, emaxx, and stampedes all break. Its just that they all have different things break in them. Those savage flux's are too powerful, they tear them selves apart. i had a few people buy them fromt he hobby store I worked at, adn they were always replacing drivetrain parts

RE: COME ON SHOW YOUR PICS
Im using a integy steering setup, its lasted through allot of beating, granted i did have to sand down parts of it to get the steering nice and tight, with no slop. I think its the only decent thing integy makes. I had alot of people buy integy parts from the hoobby store i worked at, and more than once they came in a day or two later (sometimes hours later) to try and return the broken part. Integy stuff does look cool though i have to give them credit for that By the way Flm combo bulks are the way to go, ive not been able to kill the set on my tmaxx. they survived a full speed crash into a tree (dont ask), crap loads of high speed flips, hitting a bulldozer, hitting surbs and finally hitting a parked S-10 and as far as a skid plate i used one form rc sulutions, its made of spring steel, and it survived when i hit a tree going full speed http://shop.rc-solutions.com/T-Maxx-E-Maxx-Skid-Plate-Front-013.htm http://www.fastlanemachine.net/proddetail.php?prod=FLM10200&cat=23

RE: Looking for missing part
I order all my screws from http://www.tonysscrews.com/ unless i really need them. its usually cheaper than me driving 1/2 a hour in my ford expedition to get them (it gets about 15mpg). plus those little screws are like .20 each, i can order them online for like 1.50 for 20 (i order a bunch at once . plus they are super strong screws, I ordered a bunch from fastenal all the highest grade available and the heads all strip super easy. tonys screws are much better plus you get a neat sticker that says i got screwed by tonys screws

RE: the Poll that''''s all in good fun... Please participate
I like my tmaxx, I bought it used for cheap, modded the hell out if and now it almost never breaks. Which brings me to my point, tmaxx's are like chevy 350's, there are a ton of them out there and even more aftermarket parts for them. and yes ill take a stock tmaxx over a stock savage, I just happen to like tmaxx's

RE: Not sure what to do....
I say buy used, then you can spend more money upgrading stuff, and as far as the Max/revo Vs Savage, Ive owned a Tmaxx, and a savage, ive broken both equally, it came down to i liked the tmaxx better than the savage, so I sold the savage, and kept the maxx. Some things traxxas did better, and some things hpi did better
