RE: WALKERA 60
Hey Guys, I have a 37 which has exactly the same head as the 60. Has anyone been able to find an aluminium head for the 60? Matt

RE: WALKERA 37
if you get plastic mounts you shouldn't need to touch the boom. Mine are aluminum so I had to take it off to slide them on. First you loosen the screws on the back end of the frame where the boom is. then push the boom in slightly to give the belt some slack so you can unhook the belt from the pulley it is on. then you can just slide it out. Oh, you need to take the struts off the frame first. Matt

RE: Walkera 36/37, gear ratio, recomended brushless engine rpm?
ORIGINAL: chrizz I have no idea of what kind of motor this heli needs (I have a 37 with the standard brushed motor now) but the dealer near needs to know what gear ratio (or maybe just what type of motor) is recomended for this heli (to be able to recomend me a brushless replacement motor). What motor spec is recomended for the walkera 36/37? (I have no idea of how its measured, and what to look for, but the spec you give may make sense to the dealer :) Thanks.
Hey Chrizz, would love to hear all about your 37 on the Walkera 37 thread. Matt

I have a 37 with a 3550KV brushless and a 11 tooth pinion. works great.

RE: WALKERA 37
My friend painted his black, but left the windshield clear, by puting masking tape on the inside where the windshield is. I think if you first put masking tape every where but the wind shield and paint it black, wait for it to dry, then take of the tape and paint the whole inside yellow, from the outside it will have the effect you want. I test flew my new setup today in a little toomuch wind and had a hard landing (broken leg and damaged blades) the new setup is a little quicker to respond, but I think I would get even better results if I moved the ball further along on the servo arm. the standard setup comes with the ball about halfway along the servo arm, so I kept it like that, but my friend put his ball all the way to the end of the arm and it is much faster. RE: WALKERA 37
Hey, good to here you are back in the air. I did the rudder mod on my heli last night. haven't really flown it yet other than a little test hover inside, seems better. I can't think of any reason that they put it inside other than looks, because it did look a little neater before. But I chose performance. Matt

RE: WALKERA 37
Here are some shot of the tail boom mount that my friend did on his 37. I didn't get to see it in action because he crashed, but hes said that it was allot more responsive than the origional setup, he was flicking it around 90 degres one way then the other. I think I will do the same to mine. Matt

RE: WALKERA 37
Mark, they are all Align servos. I changed them out due to warnings from many forums. they feel good, but the rudder servo still reacts kinda slow. I'm waiting to see what results my friend gets from mounting the servo on the tail boom. Matt

RE: WALKERA 37
Hi Army, I used a can of black spray paint and painted the inside. It gives a great full gloss look from the outside as the plastic is effictively a thick layer of clear. The swash plate was in a shop, not on line and it turned out to be for the t-rex CCPM so doesn't fit the 37. sorry for the false alarm. I have just done some basic hovering at this stage, it handles much different than my DF4 as you know. It is very stable now with the new brushless and I really like the programable ESC. I will try to post some vids later. Matt

RE: WALKERA 37
Hi guys Well, I have done some upgrades. I now have the Align L430 brushless and the 25A controller (very nice pair). and I also have Align servos all around to combat any walkera servo issues I might have in the future. I haven't taken it off the ground yet as I just finnshed installing everything, but I've spun the motor and it sounds great. Looking forward to first test flight. Here is a shot of the new setup. RE: WALKERA 37
Hey guys, My two 37s arrived. one for me and one for a friend. his was ordered with the walkera brushless and lipo, mine was just standard everything as I plan to put align parts in it. My friend has not flown anything before so I looked it over for him and hovered it to make sure set up was right. The thing flys like a dream, head speed seems to be at least twice that of the standard motor. it is so much more stable than mine, I plan to put align motor, esc, servos and reciever in it. will double the price of the bird but I've read too many people complain about walkera electronics to risk it. Got a message from my friend with the brushless on the second day after they arrived: "Completely destroyed head and such! Parts everywhere" good thing is that we ordered a large amount of parts that looked likely to brake in a crash. I will try to get some photos from him and show you all. Matt this is loads of fun.

RE: WALKERA 37
Hey I found an Align L430 3550KV and 25A speed controller together in a box for about $83. I guess that since Aligh is selling them together the 25A controller will be able to handle the L430 no problems. Does anyone know different? Matt

Still waiting for my 37 to arrive, already planning what brushless to get for it, any ideas? I am looking at an Align 430L or 420L, dont really know how to choose the right Amps for the ESC, any ideas? Looking forward to seeing some updates on how your 37's are doing, pictures would be great too. Matt

gysgt, thanks for the input, I not clear whot you mean by "the caps on the main" I have replaced the tail wires with 22 guage and that has taken the wag away. still have the gliching servos though, I will continue to try things. Matt

hey Army, Thanks for the advice I have a 11.1V 1550mAh 20C Lipo that I have been pushing the limits of my DF4 with. I think that should do for a start. Here are some shots of the DF4 with too much power.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
Drobin, Do you mean you changed just the wires that run inside the boom or all or the wires on the heli? I have been impressed with my original tail motor too, after I got the Lipo, I put as many heat sinks as I could fit on it, it gets warm but keeps on going. I still have the new motor in now but as the glitches are still present I know that my original motor was still fine. Matt

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum
Hi guys, I'm having a little issue with my 004. At the moment I am running it with a 11.1V 1550mAh Lipo and have not had any problems (other than crashing into things). I just upgraded my servos with Align ones tryed it in the shop and no problems, but once I had it home and charged the battery again the tail is waging everywhere and the servos are spazing out. tryed the old servos again and same problem. think it's a problem with the RX? HELP!!! Matt
