RE: Savage spur gear
ORIGINAL: sparky 25 Is it possible to run a 17t cb with 52t spurgear and will it fit into the chassis?
i've squezed a 16/52 in. its tight till it wears in abit. that cb in the pic/link looks to cheap to be hardened and the venting??? i didn't see any. i've used hpi vented cb and have yet to destroy one. iblow through the bearings first.[:D]

RE: half tank issues on my xl
take a piece of antenna tube and cut to just about the depth of the fuel tank. insert to the fill cap vent hole for exhaust pressure line. takes the exhaust pressure and bubble through the fuel in the tank to pressurize the fuel. this pic used a piece of tube and fuel line.same idea. suppose to work but never did this mod myself either.

RE: half tank issues on my xl
plenty of tank mods on this site and others. or just run half tank and re-tune. i've done this for all 5 trucks and they're rich at the full tank but still run well. with temps ranging from 260 to 300. some engines seem to like the 300 mark and still have good smoke.

the foam may have also come unglued inside the tire and is bunching up giving you a high spot and a soft spot on the wheel/tire.

RE: Picco engines
ORIGINAL: fullyford well i was just out playin in the snow and had it runnin really good, engine is completely sealed and it turned out that i had 4 head shims so i took one out so it still has 3. but temps were not an issue to day cause i didn't have the head wrapped plus it only -8 outside. but the one thing i noticed and was that when you first gun it it would bog for just a few seconds then it would take off like a jet, am i too rich on the lsn, i tried tuning it a little both ways maybe i didn't go enough but didn't seem to make a difference, anyway it was fun to play in the snow again,
this will help keep the snow/ice off the filter. a old spray paint can lid or the gum container.
