The engine for the XRC will fit (once you have the clutch housing). It's a little tight for the position of the spark plug, but it's better protected too. It has a little more power than the stock, but not much.

RE: eurgle 2.4 ghz
I love this radio.... but it leaves me with an uncomfotable "what if" feelings. For some applications it's great (something where you have no need for a failsafe). With my luck I'd be running by 25lb+ 1/5 scale at full throttle, trip over something and drop my controller; dislogging a battery or something and it's bye bye buggy (either a big crash or the thing just keeps going and going and going... for about 30 minutes on a full tank). Sushi2me - I think Herman will try to get you an answer, but his english translation may not be the best. He's been fairly quick to respond too.

They have it on their (CEN) website for pre-order for $899 (4WD MT) It looks like the front suspension change will help the turning radius. (compared to the FS MT)

RE: eurgle 2.4 ghz
I did some more testing with the system today. The range seems pretty good in an open area, about 200 meters before the signal became a little eratic. I doubt I've ever driven my rc more than 75-100 away from me.

RE: eurgle 2.4 ghz
Sent another email out to r2hobbies Hi Herman Thank you for your prompt response. It's not the servo, it's the rx. Normally the rx stops sending a signal to the servo when it looses signal, and the servo will tend to return to nuetral. When this rx looses the signal from the tx, it continues to send the last signal it had to the servo. If this one looses its signal and your throttle is at full power, the rx will keep it there. This also affects any failsafe plugged into it, because it is always getting a signal from the rx, even if the rx has lost contact with the tx. Anything you can find out would be appreciated. Thank you for your help. Here's his reply Hi there, Thank you for your reply and information. Actually, you should mean the "Fail safe function" right. If so, this function can only be use for HRS or PCM1024 system receivers now. But it will be available soon on 2.4Ghz radio gear, our engineer still testing the setting right now. We will keep you upgrade. = ) If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you very much. Yours Sincerely, Herman So, no failsafe possiblity. Hopefully they come out with an "upgrade", which I assume will be a different rx.

RE: eurgle 2.4 ghz
Question for those of you running electric with these. What happens when you turn your tx off at throttle? Does the esc stop the motor? I have some gear around here somewhere, but why test when you already know[:)]

If it acted like AM or FM (rx stops sending any signal, servo backs off) it would be okay, but this rx keeps sending the last

The same thing for the third channel killswitch, it will work when your in range (using the 3rd channel button on remote, or battery loss), but on signal loss it won't work either because there is no change in the signal from the rx.

RE: eurgle 2.4 ghz
The ads for the radio say it has a throttle cut, but there's no mention of it in the manual (or the contrast adjustment and timer function) so I'm assuming there isn't one, but I'm hoping I missed something.

RE: eurgle 2.4 ghz
They're perfect for that I think. I just did some distance testing (set my TX in the driveway and started walking with my battery and tx in hand) After about 100-125 meters the signal was strong, after that the signal became eratic (depended alot on position of the antenna, signal made it about 150 meters - no direct line of sight - around the corner and down the street from my TX, I'll head to an open field this weekend for better testing) It still makes me nervous that my failsafe doesn't work. And from the forums I've read (mostly translated freach, manderan, swedish) none will, and the third channel will work for the pico switch, but only with the button on the TX, if it losses signal, it doesn't kill the engine. The thing that makes the lack of a working failsafe really scary with these is that if you loose signal at full throttle, it will stay at full throttle with power and signal from the rx keeping it there. Bye bye babay [:D] For the most part, I don't run more than about 100m (more like 75m, my eyesight isn't what it used to be) away from me, so I'm not to worried. As long as I keep an eye on my TX power (it will beep if it's power drops too low), and make sure my RX battery is charged (not as much as a worry, slow or weak steering will show a low battery PDQ). I'm still very impressed with the amount of settings (and cost) of the Eurgle, but if you can't setup any real failsafe... that's a big turn-off for alot of people (not me, I tend to push my luck for the buck - translation - cheap) I hope someone has a work-around for the failsafe, I haven't figured it out yet.

RE: eurgle 2.4 ghz
www.r2hobbies.com has them. So far, one scary note. Neither of my failsafes (venom & duratrax) work with it and it has no built-in failsafe. It's like the failsafe can't tell the rx has lost its signal. If my picoswitch (killswitch for 1/5 gas) doesn't work..... [:@]

RE: eurgle 2.4 ghz
Go into your settings and check the ARC. The values should be L-00, 1-25, 2-50, 3-75, H-100. I noticed only model one came set correctly (settings were 25,50,75,100,0!!! makes for strange movement) So far I love this radio. I'll try to check the range soon.

Yes, no problems so far (Although at first I thought I got a bad TX, thought the buttons didn't work, lol, just needed to press and hold the enter button) Are you using an ESC and servo, or two servos?

RE: Anyone see all the new CEN 1/5 scale gas coming out
I hope they do well. I prefer my FS buggy (2WD) over my TQ baja. Easier to work on. I find it handles better, jumps better, and doesn't get crammed up with debris like the baja. I've had almost no problems with it so far (compaired to the baja). Hopefully CEN with have hopups too.

Sweet! Mine came in. Bound the additional rx's with no problems. So many adjustments you can make! Steering wheel can swing out. Hope to try it this weekend. Only thing missing is a built in failsafe, but for what they cost, I'm very impressed so far.
