RE: Altitude
I live at 5300 ft and my X SS with a K4.6 and stock slipper setting will wheelie all day long. Maybe tune it better like TBJ said. Matt

I ground it off with a dremel. Hpi put those lugs there because people kept popping out dogbones. I've never had one pop out on me. Matt

RE: another dog gone rollcage question.
I've seen those roll cages around on eBay and other forums and wondered why anyone would pay that much for them. Most people could make one themselves with nylon rods and wood screws. But why? It looks awful. Do yourself a favor and get a 0.060" lexan body. If you screw it up that bad then maybe more driving lessons[;)] Matt

RE: 2 questions for the flux pros.
You need to mark the position that the pinion gear needs to be in with a marker and then take out the motor and line up the pinion with your marks and put some locktite on the pinion screw and crank her down tight. Make sure that when you put the motor back to set the gear mesh with a piece of paper. Have you tried using the d/r setting on your transmitter so that the servo is not trying to force the steering beyond it's physical stops? It might be pulling a lot of current at the stops and causing your esc to "glitch". Tell us what you find. Matt

RE: Flux front A-arms
What's up with flux arms breaking? Is bad drivers or bad arms? I've had my X SS since 07 and have never broken an upper or lower arm. Are the flux arms a different style? I have a Flux HP arriving on Tuesday and this post has me wondering. Matt

I doubt you will be able to find a surface esc that is intended to run on >6S besides the MMXL being that it is meant for 5th scale. Matt

RE: My front tires only turn like 1mm?
Check that the servo saver is tight. It might have come loose. Does the steering work when it is off the ground? If it does then this is most likely the case. Matt

RE: 3700mAh LiPo dead?
How did you store the lipo when not in use? Lipos should be stored at storage voltage (3.85 v per cell) and kept in a cool dry place. Storing a fully charged lipo or a discharged one will definitely cause it to have an early death. Matt

WTH Is wrong with TOWER HOBBIES! *RANT*
I don't know what to think about TOWER HOBBIES anymore... ...So this morning i go to check out the SPEEDMART circular i got in the mail. I really don't care about what's in it i guess i just like to look and see what's new in the non-savage world. I flip to page four and at the bottom left hand corner is an ad for a Tamiya Nitrage, so i start reading and ...HUH?... it says it's powered by "a formidable 540 motor". Who writes this stuff? Do they think thier customers are idiots? I mean it's called a NITRage! It even says 5.2 on the side! ...A little while passes and i cool down. ...Turn to page 8 and at the bottom is an other ad for an Axial AX10 kit, and upon closer inspection IT'S A SAVAGE WITH AN AXIAL BODY AND 40 SERIES BEADLOCKS! I know i may just be sensitive to this kind of stuff but if they screw up big TWO times in the first 8 pages then who knows what other BS they're printing. It ordinarily wouldn't bug me so much except that earlier today i was reading the best hobby shop thread and it got me thinking- i really should order from A MAIN. I wanted to get the Dual Disc Brake Conversion, 47T Steel Spur, and Vented Clutch Bell 17T. A Main didn't have the steel spur so i had to go TOWER. I've spent nearly $1000 since july with TOWER and this really bothers me. I'm definetly looking somewhere else to get the TAMIYA DURGA i've decided on. Does TOWER have a customer service email address? I couldnt find one on thier website. anyone have anything to add to this or other comments/rants? Matt

RE: IM BACK!!!!!!!!!
ORIGINAL: NitroVenom Well the lrp spec 3 is probably one of the best motors out so far. Traxxas came out with a new waterproof E-maxx.. Tekno came out with a brushless conversion for the revo.. BB revo's are everywhere and brushlees is really booming. Thats what I can think of ATM. Edit: JR just came out with the 9100T wich has 420 oz of torque... And the newest spektrum radio looks like it came out of star wars.. yea that just about covers it..[8|] lol
9100t has 370 oz. in. 8711 has 403 oz. in. just to clear that up[:D]
