RE: FUTABA 18MZ HAS ARRIVED
ORIGINAL: Skaluf Have you recently purchased, or are you about to purchase an 18MZ? Do you have a 14MZ, 12Z or 12FG to sell? Would you like to increase the resell value of your 14MZ, 12Z or 12FG? If so, check out the Futaba Certified Pre-Owned program! http://www.futaba-rc.com/fcpo/index.html
Just checked out this program Would like to take advantage of it but there is a problem I purchased my 18mz on 2 May 2012 and doesn't seem to qualify. Are the any exceptions to the down loaded Form????? This seems to be something new Thanks John K

18MZ System Timer- Model/Total time
On the system timer menu you can select Model or Total In the model mode it does keep track of total model time which I like. I just noticed that when in Total systen time mode it Auto resets when the Transmitter is turned off and back on. Prior to the soft ware update I think it was keeping track of total System time unless reset manually. Also just noticed that if in Model mode the System timer does not even start unless switiched to Total. My 12z keeps track of total System time unless reset. I have always keep track or total time between charging of the battery Then reset. As I said before do believe it was keeping track of total time before the update But not now. Has any one elese noticed this.

RE: 2012 Hog Bipe rides again
I have used both types of glow drivers [ store bought and home made with micro switches ] the first one is easer to set up but the cost is more. Would not go without on a 4 cycle inverted. Reading all this has convinced me to get my Hog Bipe out of storage [ 5 years ] and get started on it. Will post my build in the verrrry near future. Jk

RE: Futaba 18MZ
ORIGINAL: Skaluf The 18MZ has the ability to program S.Bus servos using it's built-in serial bus port. This port functions like the Futaba CIU-2 USB interface; the built-in software on the 18MZ gives you all of the programming ability that using a PC would give you. RE: New 8FG Software V4.0!
ORIGINAL: ddaveb I agree with the sentiments stated at the begining of this post & would like to add that I am anoyed that Futaba seems to have forgoten the 12fg & seems to only be concerned with only supporting the 8fg radio the last software update was only some gyro software update no stick calibration or anything useful for most people ,come on Futaba we paid quite a bit for the 12fg lets see some proper software updates.
I tend to agree, not much support for the 12z either. There has been plenty of time to add Stick Calibration to this great radio. Steve How about a few suggestions to Futaba? RE: HobbyKing OrangeRx Futaba FASST Compatible 8Ch 2.4Ghz Receiver
ORIGINAL: rzingsheim ''Can I use all 8 chanels'' I received 3 orange receivers last Friday from H.K. From the date I ordered them till I got them was 13 days (including two weekends) and they shipped from Hong Kong! Binding is a snap. Switching between standard and hi-speed is also a snap. Does anybody know if you ''Y'' the battery can you use all 8 chanels. I haven't flown them yet but I did a power down range test with a Futaba 8FG (upgraded to 14 channels- also a snap) and I could get complete reliability at over 100 paces with me blocking the receiver and my buddy blocking the transmitter. So far so good. I'll keep you posted on how they perform in the air as soon as the field drys out. I plan to start with a foamie, than go to a somethin Xtra, than to a larger size plane.
