Try warehouse hobbies they have a builders special it includes tank rudder strut radio box prop shaft and trim tabs all for 299.00 plus shipping.I bought 2 in jan. and I have not had any problems as of yet.You might consider buying an after market wrap to center pipe off of ebay 54.00.It will get you what you want for speed. The package is really easy to set up and starts easy will run abuot an hour per tank. You will have to supply radio gear and you are set. RE: Dumas Scarab
Mount your set up about 1/2 inch up and 1/8 -1/4 inch to right. Use 10/32 stainless blind nuts and 10/32 by 3/4 inch stainless allen bolts and you should be running straight turn like you want it to.

Just leave 1/8 to 1/4 inch at clutch for adjustment. It will shrink when you are running and stretch back when not.

RE: 54" Gasser The Project Resumes
The instructions that came with my kit said use a 5/8 inch chunk of plumbing solder in side of ferral and heat with torch. Make sure that cable goes all the way into the seated position. I had to heat mine twice. I drilled a hole in my bench about 1/2 inch deep inserted shaft chucked cable in drill ran drill at med speed and applied heat until cable slipped into place. Keep drill running until whole assy turns. This will cool joint and make good connection

RE: 54" Gasser The Project Resumes
The engine is not a ZENOAH. It does a fine job of moving my boats. Just take your time and it will amase you at the speed you will get. I am still learning and this package is a grate starting point. I can see a RMCK254 or mild mild mod ZEN in the near future. You guys keep all of the grate info coming. THANKS AGAIN MEL[:D]
