Does Nextel or Sprint cell phones work at this facility. It seems like the field is located in a remote area. Steve

I can get the weight of mine this weekend as I'm out of town. I do know that its fairly heavy but doesn't feel heavy when flying. Steve

They bought George Miller kits as someone else mentioned. George Miller had a nice F-4, T-38 and F-8 Crusader. They also bought out Craig Aviation I believe. Steve

I don't think they are in the business of selling model airplanes. They kinda bought out a few model manufacturers and pretty much shelved everything. Steve

RE: FEJ Rafale - Getting ready to maiden :)
My radio is set up where as my canard is mixed(coupled) with the elevator when selected by a switch on my xmitter. When I give up elevator, the leading edge of the canards goes up and vice versa. When I have the mix disabled, the canards act as flaps although they are not needed because the airplane slows down well without them. Steve

RE: FEJ Rafale - Getting ready to maiden :)
I have one powered by a p-70. Flys very well and fast with that set up. I couple the canards with the elevators for take off. This provides a smooth rotation. Landings are very easy and predictable. Steve

RE: JetJoe OWNERS thread
Hi Andy, I got it to start using air. For some reason, the temps are fine now although I'm not complaining. I still have to order a new starter motor. I've replaced starter motors before and didn't have an issue with them spinning the compressor at enough rpms but I guess it does matter the type motor that is used in a Jetjoe. Thanks for your help, Steve

I used to fly out of Franklin County Airport which is now called Triangle North. I've flown models there a few times. The only other paved runway in that area is Louisburg. They see a lot of jumping activity there.

I have a 54mkII that needs servicing. I have 50 hours on it and it is in need of a new compressor as well as bearings. Do you still have parts to service this engine ? Steve

RE: JetJoe OWNERS thread
I'm using the pump that was supplied which is the Jet joe pump. I have a Flightworks pump that was used when I had a JJ1800 but was told that it couldn't be used because it would pump to much fuel for the 1400. I'll search to see if I can find your post on the parameters. Where can I find a good starter motor? Steve

RE: JetJoe OWNERS thread
I'm still trying to get my engine to start reliably. The original starter quit working so I replaced it with a motor I had lying around. After blowing several glow plugs, I turned the voltage down. I got it to run only after using my blower to help spool the engine after the start sequence was initiated as the motor does not seem to have enough power to do it on its own. The original motor wouldn't spool it up either although the battery was freshly charged. After it started running, the temps at full throttle ran around 750 degrees celcius. The idle is very inconsistent. It ranges from 43,000 to 67,000. Can someone with a smooth running engine post your parameters and give me some insight as to how to make my engine run good? Thanks, Steve

RE: 2012 First in Flight Jet Rally - May 24-27
Yes it is a good problem to have, lol. My other jets are no more than 76" long. My F-15 is one piece, 90" long 63" wingspan and my F-18 is 98" with removeable wings. Trying to stuff all that stuff in a 6x10 trailer is hard. Steve

RE: 2012 First in Flight Jet Rally - May 24-27
I was gonna come in today and drop my trailer but I spent until very late last night trying to figure out how to fit everything in it. This is the first time I've owned big jets and one of them is a one piece airplane. Nevertheless, I'll try to re- arrange everything this evening. If I can't make it happen, I'll just leave one of them home. Steve
