RE: Racing the E-firestorm
It'll race. I've done it and so have lots of drivers. just takes practice and a few upgrades. Find out what tires are popular at you local track, switch to RPM hubs (front/rear) as well as their arms, You'll need bigger bearing with the RPM hubs. shock wt? depends on the type of track, check for any other firestorms or Blitz running there for better info. The stock servo (if you still got it ) is slow, get a better one. If you got the gear diff version 5k-7k diff oil (again it depends on your track) or just get a MIP ball diff. for more info check with the E-firestorm thread

i guess you looked through all the proline, parma, jconcepts stuff? then look at some of the brand name stuff. AE, losi hpi, I'm not sure if venom still makes some. different bodies will fit with some tweaking and modifying.

The rattler is a little thin and sits lower than most other bodies. My son picked it over the others for his slash.

Thanks for your help! [/quote] Your best bet would be to find out if the Losi version of that buggy's body and cage will fit on your storm. you may need a blitz chassis. http://www.losi.com/Products/Features.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0107

the recoil and tailwhip are the same car, only differance is the tailwhip is the drift version. harder tires and a different body. at least thats what I was told at the lhs I got my recoil at.

Nice, maybe now I can get my brama18b running. my micro sidewinder blew both diffs on the buggy. Does the buggy alum. motor mount fit the recon? and I'm guessing the bramas alum. shocks would be too short for the recon too?

RE: Sportwerks Recoil Fans?
I got my Spechett edition new, built it and the class folded, they went off road. traded it back and forth with a friend for a couple of years. neither of us ran it much. just a lap or 2 around the house. lol I was thinking of throwing a dirt modified body on it, some guys are racing them indoors on concrete. thats why i'm trying to find parts.

RE: Tamiya Big Rigs
Yeah, its kinda rare to see a big rig kit in an lhs. the lhs here has one stuck on a shelf with the plastic model kits of big rigs, and theres not many. This thread made me want to watch some of the big rig videos on youtube. there was one in a convention center set up like a friggen city with a working construction site! Looked pretty damn fun. lol

RE: 1/18 model to race indoors
the Detta SC is a 1/18 and should be able to race in that SC class, and stock it will keep up with the others, unless the others come stock brushless. lol I used to race one indoor offroad carpet. I miss it.

I was in a knockoff toy store today and saw that they carry redcat rc's. there was a Twister xtg pro on the counter, nice copy of a Efirestorm. lol The store owner got pretty upset when I pointed out it was based on the firestorm. only difference is the plastic/aluminum shocks and the battery strap. oh and the on off switch on the tranny. even the bodys a copy lol. He wasn't impressed lol. http://www.redcatracing.com/RC-Cars/1-10-Scale-Electric-Brushless/Twister-XTG-Brushless

I've been planning to convert my hpi cyber10b to a rally car, but I just saw the new 1/8 rally nitro rally car from hpi, hoping theres a brushless to follow. looks good, based on the nitro bullet chassis.
