RE: Banana Hobbies Bipes??
Not sure. I have two FMS planes, both Stukas, and I love 'em. There is a long thread about the heinkle(sp?) on R/C groups though. I too have been contemplating that plane. I only have one Biplane, and it is a Fokker DVII from electrifly. Nice flying, and fun plane. As for FMS/Airfield's quality, it is right up there. I have no complaints about the quality. There are typical things to look at, such as hinges, and control clevises, but I think everyone has their faves about what to use there. Good luck with your purchase.Metalguy

RE: Junkers Ju288 Scratchbuilt
That does look like it would be hard to land, and not nose-over! Swet looking plane, though...looks great! Good job!! I have one of the mini-stukas on the way too, as well as a Hobby King Me-163 Komet -Metalguy

RE: Biggest Boat-Anchor of an Airplane EVER!
This is odd. I bought an Airfield/FMS 1.4 Meter Stuka dive bomber from Nitroplanes, and have ended up with an airplane that is my favorite. The motor is powerful, and no problems with it. Parts are easily obtainable (props, spinners, foam pieces, etc) and most of them I get from Nitroplanes, too. In all honesty, I have never had to deal with their customer service, so no comments from me on that. I also didn't buy the RTF version, as I only trust a radio I put in. Some of the hardware was questionable, so I replaced it. (Some clevises, and installed pinned hinges on the tail surfaces). I bought my own ESC and UBEC, as I do not trust most of the ones that come with ARF's from anyone, and with all the servos in this plane (6 just in the wing, 8 total) I wanted a separate UBEC. I have been flying the crap out of this plane, and any problems with it have been my faulty flying. Sorry you had such a bad experience.Metalguy

RE: nitroplanes Stuka 1400 mm
I have two of these aircraft. I replaced the ESC on both, as they are known for being unreliable. I use a 60 amp OPTO ESC with a 5A UBEC for the radio. There are 8 servos in this aircraft, so the stock BEC on the ESC is working pretty hard. It is a bummer you lost this plane, as they are really great flyers. I hope you rebuild.-Metalguy

RE: New to helicopters, but not to electric RC
Um, the Century swift NX looks like a nice 6-channel machine, but there is no way I can fly that indoors, unless I find a warehouse somewhere. [;)]I will consider it as another step up, as I would like to one day put a camera on one, and fly around the neighborhood. But for now, being stuck indoors, a micro is for me. I am open to more suggestions for a micro-sized fixed pitchMetalguy
