RE: MMB/LST2 Brushless Xcelorin 6000kv vs Sidewinder 5400kv
I ordered the 4200kv micro sidewinder pro. I really didnt want it crazy fast. I really like the speed stock. With this setup I think I will be at +5mph with better throttle response. I just went brushless for longer batt life. stuff will be here later this week. the sidewinder is on sale for 109.95 + 10% off b-p-p.com

MMB/LST2 Brushless Xcelorin 6000kv vs Sidewinder 5400kv
going into a losi mmb (mini monster baja) already running losi lipo's Type:LiPo Capacity:1650 Voltage:7.4V Connector Type:Prewired Losi Mini (power) and balance connector Wire Gauge:14G Number of Cells:2 Configuration:2S Maximum Continuous Discharge :20C Maximum Burst Discharge :30C Not looking for blazing speed. Looking for longer battery life and smooth throttle response. i only want to run 1 motor to save weight and stay near stock speeds or a about 5mph faster If all my research is correct i need a 15T Pinion. Whats a better choice Xcelorin 6000kv vs Sidewinder 5400? Why do you say/think so?

Losi Mini Monster Baja / MMB / Mini-LST2 Upgrades?
I just got a MMB the one with LIPos. Whats some good sites to buy upgraded parts? Ive got about 10 charges thru it now.. I really want to improve the steering. The stock servos suck like everyone else says. The exotekracing single servo kit is nice but expensive. What are my other "direct fit" options? One of my tie rods popped off its ball joint to. Where can I get upgraded parts for the suspension/steering. The stock tie rods prob pop off for good reason to avoid breaking other suspension parts. So beefing up the tie roads alone prob isnt a good idea.. Am I correct with that thought? The only site I did find with alot of parts http://www.thetoyz.com/ but all the parts say LST not LST2. I know LST2 parts fit my MMB, but will the LST parts to? i kinda like all the blue aluminum stuff they sell

RE: Help pick first rc on road car
yah the hpi evo is only 350 at the local shop, its about 30 more after you factor shipping costs. plus the local store is adding in the glow plug charger, 6cell batt + charger + fuel, plus some AA batts. +small fuel tank to fill the car up with. it was like 477 after tax etc. its about 30 cheaper online. plus i can get it all tomorrow at the store.

Help pick first rc on road car
Option A.1 Tamiya Racing Car TT-01R Chassis Kit, buying the radio, esc, body seperate etc, basic am radio to keep costs down. stsock motor. Total Cost: $350 online shipped Option A.2 same as A.1 with upgraded motor Castle Creations Mamba Max ESC/5700kV Motor Combo Total Cost: $520 ONLINE SHIPPED Option B.1 HPI Nitro RS4 3 EVO+ RTR. Total Cost $477, i could prob get this a hair cheaper If i order online, but this is at the local hobby shop for about 30-40 more.. so theres the GET IT NOW factor :) Plus they have the body style i want in stock, towerhobbies doesnt. **All Total costs includes chargers, batteries, glow plug charge etc. Everything I need to get going. I am not sure what to expect out of these little cars. My Guess is A.1 is going to hit about 25mph, A.2 50mph?, and B 50mph? Right now I am leaning towards A.1, because I can always upgrade the motor later on.. I am looking for something to mess around with in open parking lots, drift, or around the house. I want it fast and fun. I just cant decide on nitro or electronic. If anyone here has both and wants to chim in that would be sweet. I would like here what you have to say about these 2 cars. If you only own one chim in too!! thx

TT01R build, help confirm parts, I am a newb
I tried doing as much research/search as possible so bare with me. Been reading the forum for the past 4hrs. I found towerhobbies.com very use full to finding all my parts: These things I am sure of(should be fine): 1. Tamiya Racing Car TT-01R Chassis Kit 2. HPI Lotus Elise 2000 Body 190mm 3. Novak XRS Reversible Sport ESC This part I am not sure if I need anything else. Do i need any of those radio crystals or is this everything? 4. Futaba 2PH 2-Channel AM/1 S3003 Servo 79 5. Sanyo AA Alkaline Battery (8) Now for the battery? I figured the 4200 should hold the longest charge? But maybe the brand sucks? whats best for the money? 6. DuraTrax 6-Cell 7.2V DTX4200 NiMH Stick Standard Does this charge come with all the plugs? I cant seem to find any pics of the cords so it makes me think its missing something? Will I be able to charge the battery above without needing anything? 7. DuraTrax Piranha AC/DC Digital Peak Charger NiCd/NiMH Am I missing anything? What can you guys recommend? I plan to mess around on the road/streets drifting around. And what kinda of driving time should i get with this setup? Thanks, Ryan
