RE: JMA TOPGUN 2013 MAY 18/19
Just got home from Merryfield couldn’t face the drive Sunday so stayed over. Had a great weekend thanks to Jamie + all those involved in the organisation. Thanks also for all the comments on the Sea Fury, I sure enjoyed displaying it for you all. I suppose I’m going to have to pay a huge ransom to the kidnapper! Thanks Geoff see you all at Wyton. m

Ok what do you need from me, I can send you the files? They contain hinge dimentions, hinge points and ram geometry. Be very careful when calculating centre positions it's critical. m

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence
Hi Eric, it's difficult to form a view from here but the ign unit is picking up power, solid green led, the other led should have five pulses per rev. Now there is a breakdown somewhere, check your low tension connections the multi plug to the ign unit, check the hall sensor pickup remove from engine and pass a magnet over it you should get one flash per pass. If all this checks out you probably have a faulty ignition unit...............hope this helps. m

RE: P80 High temp at Idle
It may be worth checking the relative pump voltages at idle, this could tell you if the engine is struggleing to maintain RPM. m

No Bruce, no typo it is all hudraulic, landing gear folding wing mechanism and the hinge locking system. The oil systen is based on the UMS/Eurokits hydraulic landing gears, with some modifications to the pressure control and accumulator. m

RE: MOKI RADIAL Care and Maintenence
The component you are referring to is not a pump; it’s a pulse generator. Through the actions of the generator it’s the carburettor that does the sucking through its diaphragm “pump Your five minute flight was due entirely upon the tank being able to be compressed, in other words had the tank been totally rigid the engine would have run out of fuel almost immediately. m

RE: SaeFury
Hi David, good question, but I believe it is never a case of how to get the air in to cool an engine, it's more a case of how to get rid of it. The full size Sea Fury has the same appearance, although I think the spinner is a clever design in that the air over the spinner impinges directly on the cylinder heads, we'll see. m

It's almost a year to the day that I collected the laser cut semi kit from “Bellair kit cutters in the UK, being retired I can spend a lot of my waking hours playing with toy airplanes. This model is from the Bates plans and is the ¼ scale one 115 span with a Moki 250. It has hydraulic landing gear, folding wings and hinge locking mechanism. The model is going to weigh between 70 and 75lbs. Futaba 18MZ sbus through a Powerbox Cockpit RRS. m
