RE: Any Gas Outboards???
ORIGINAL: F1madness mickie Dont wanna start arguement on here just because an F1 runs inboard doesnt make it any less of 1 to some its just a more cost effective way to be able to build and run them Even the full scale guys have got inboard team now does that mean they are not an F1 ???? say no more I come from a background of been involved with F2 and would much rather see an OB on the back but sometimes its just viable Sorry Jay
Jay, no arguments here, just my own opinion and probably should have kept my mouth shut!

RE: Any Gas Outboards???
I have been developing an 49" tunnel hull specifically designed for the outboard, mold is done and i should be pulling the first hull out in a few weeks (time permitting) , the reason why i did my own was the prohibiting cost of getting say one of doms hulls out to Australia, and Joe petro at Zippkits refused to send the illusion here because of the length of the kit. It seems shipping and the lack of builders is the main contributing factor in the numbers of OB tunnel hulls around, there are a few INBD ones but they are no different to a cat. Well in my eyes anyway. If my tunnel goes ok, and testing will not be too far away, i will be selling the hulls here is OZ for around the $250-300 mark, and yes i know it is not scale looking, i have designed it that way. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10865371/tm.htm Cheers Mick

Are you going to glass over the foam then try to dig it out or are you now going to make this the plug and do a mold? looks interesting anyhow. Keep up the work, you are getting there. Mick

Hi Mate, they are 4mm x 4 mm, also working on a better oiling system for the driveline, as the last time i ran i think i got more oil inside the boat than on the driveline..... Cheers
ORIGINAL: wetsleeves Nice suprise there ghost even though its a chinese hull. Make sure when you get it on the water, you get some footage of the cat running. Was thinking of getting some thing like that for my little boy as a starter boat, obviuosly he would pick what type of hull he wanted. Oh a word of advise, dont run the cat at the same time with Mick, your cat just might not look the same once you bring her in....hey MICK[8|]
Ha Ha...... Nah your fine just beware of the " Camel" it sometimes has a mind of it's own...... I think i may just have to put some buoy's out before we run a few boats next time, that way there is no confusion .... Lookin to see this boat running Andrew

RE: 72
Hi Pete, Boat went alot better than before, has plenty of promise, turns real nice and doesn't seem to have any bad tendencies , could only get it to half throttle due to carby tunning and some heat build up under the cowl. Going to put some more air vents in to better the airflow and some more tweeks on the carby's should do it. Found out after the last run that the grub screw holding the strut at height was missing, so pretty sure what i thought was a carby problem may also be due to that. Here is the Vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gM27-eWU5uA Don't have the heart to sell it now, just going to be too much fun. Any one elso have any idea's on getting it run better i am open to any coments. Cheers all Mick
