Traxxas 4x4 vxl slash for Christmas?
Hi all, I have been looking into asking for the traxxas slash 4x4 vxl for Christmas. Is anyone else doing the same? I am going to change the gearing a little, and put a 3s lipo in it. What 3s lipo would you all reccomend? How does that sound?

RE: The Official Traxxas 4wd Slash Thread...
Ok, well im thinking about getting asking for this for Christmas. If i do i will gear it at 19/45 and have a 3s lipo with it. What lipo do you guys reccomend? I like it being 4x4, and brushless, otherwise i would have or ask for the regular slash. Im just basically wondering if it is worth $400. I know its early but i would like to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas. I hope you all get the rc goodies you want this year! Thanks for the help!

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
Ok well i still haven't decided wut i am going to get. I am leaning towards 2 2s lipos in a series. I have been reading and people are saying it is hard on the diffs, clutch, and tranny, and heat issues etc. What could i do to avoid those problems. I will be loosining my slipper clutch. But is that all i should do? I have a heat sink on the motor, but should i get one for the esc as well? I will also be running this set-up on a regular basis. Since ol'man winter is around the corner, wut do you recommend i do to the lipos? Should i balloon'em up or is there another way? One more question, should i change my gearing? I am running the stock spur gear, and the 23t speed pinion. Thanks for all of the help guys! [:D]

Does anyone have this lipo? How is it? Is it any faster than the 2 6 cell ni-mhs on the series connector? How much longer are the run times if there is a difference. http://cgi.ebay.com/LiPo-battery-1550-mAh-3S-11-1V-1-16-e-revo-vxl-slash_W0QQitemZ290359610927QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRadio_Control_Parts_Accessories?hash=item439ac80e2f Thanks [;)]

What are some good, but cheap 3s lipo`s? How much longer of a runtime do u get from 2 6 cell ni-mhs on the series connector to just the 3s lipo. Also how much more top speed does it increase by running the 3s lipo?

my b-day present?
Ok, well my birthday is coming up and my dad is taking me to Indianapolis for the day. I ask him if we could go to a couple off hobby shops (since there are none around here). Anyways i can pick out one thing. I want a good basher. I will proboly never race so i don`t need a racer. I was thinking maybe a hpi 10t firestorm flux? Are they good bashers? I am looking at that becasue i want it to be fast out of the box. And i would proboly run a 3s lipo. Which 3s lipos do u flux owners run and like? And if you know the speed, that would be great aswell. I am open to other options, but i am looking into the firestorm flux as of now. Any other input would be great!

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
I also forgot to say i was running my revo on friday (i was running it really hard) and about half way through the run i noticed something. I was missing my front right half shaft [:@]. But i had it barrel rolling goin about 40 mph (in the grass), and then i ran into my neighbors curb a couple time (at like 45 mph). Ya ya ya dumb mistake by my part. They have a really long drive way and i guess i couldn`t get `er whoad down by the time it got down there. But thats it. And i don`t even think it broke. I`m saying that because i couldn`t find the dang thing. Tuff little truck.

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!
I like those aswell. Where did you get them from? But i have couple questions as well. Since those are bigger how much speed and power did you loose? Then again they are taller, and the taller the tires are, the faster it goes. But i assume those tires weigh a bit more than stock? I know this is a dumb, and noobish question. Thanks
ORIGINAL: squeaky penguin
ORIGINAL: jaejw1 what size tires are those... for a buggy,,, front or rear??????
They're 2.2 rear buggy tires. Perfect fit and they work great - it's amazing how well they hook up on dirt.
getting my detta buggy back out.
Ok well i have been addicted to my (MER) mini e-revo. Anyways i took my vendetta with me on vacation a couple months ago and it didn`t run. My first and only guess is my battery. I am running a 2s lipo. But i am charging the battery at 1.75 amps. My power supply is only rated for 1 amp. Is that why when i went to run it, it went for 2 seconds (slowly) and wouldn`t go again. Do you think i will have to get a new battery? Thanks for all the input [;)]

RE: my new RC Buddy !
Man BudBud how many dogs do you have? I have a 7 year old black lab/ german shepeard, Atleast that`s what i think he is. He is a very playfull and friendly dog. He gets along with other dogs, kids, and adults. When we go 4-wheeler riding i always bring him. He loves it! He just runs along the side of my dad or me. My dad doesnt go fast so he can keep up. One time my dad had him up to 34mph. He was going 34 and vader (my dog) was still right beside him. And when we go ride in the river we through big water logged sticks out there and he gets them. He sticks his head under water for like 5 seconds looking for it. Its funny! And today when we were riding a dog just walked out of the woods. He didn`t have a collar so we didn`t know who`s dog it was. It was a really friendly dog though. It even ran beside us when we were riding. But he belonged to someone because he looked like he had been fed and taken care of. Sorry not trying to get off the rc subject. Anyways he chases my savage and is not afraid of it. But when i bring out my vendetta or my mini e-revo he is afraid of those. And i don`t get it. Savage= Big and loud Other cars= small and quiet. Just thought i would chime in [;)].

Ok well i just finished a full run with mine! It was really fun! This was the first full run i have gotten in due to weather, darkness, and it being broke. So anyways i took my temp gun to it. The motor was 151 degrees, esc was 127 degrees, and my batteries were both 122 degrees. Is that too hot? I am running two batteries with the series connector and the speed pinon. Please help. I am thinking of putting a heat sink on it. But where can i get one that fits? I just want the heat sink, not the fan.
