RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
very nice TShark.............. it seems all went good on you first flights, it encourages me more when i arrive to do mine. are there any tips you suggest before the test flight, or is it another fly on rails model?? i am using a DLE-170 engine i think it should be enough for it..........right?? the runway of our club isn't too long it's about 600 feet in length. regards Martin 9H1DL

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Yes style fly, I finished up adding about 2kg of weight due to some inner structure reinforcing at the back of the fuse also because i did re-paint my Cessna (the original paint wasn't up to my standard) being my self by profession a vehicle spray painter. didn't you check your CG before flight?? it is suppose to be @ approx 175mm to 180mm back of the leading edge. i made a home made cg checker my self. regards Martin. RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi Parrot girl & all I have attached some pics with the gps installed. as for switching on and off, i made the it fit very tightly just push fit so when i need to switch it on or charge it i just slide it out. i also ran to my work shop and fitted the blind nuts instead of the one Tommy installed after hearing some bizarre events that have happened. i think all the wood structure on this model is of poor quality and needs some reinforcements especially where the front fuse attaches to the rear fuse. [image][/image] i am working on another job inside the cockpit at the moment..............will show it at a later stage. mny happy landings Martin from the Island of Malta.

hi Tshark, it really looks good......well done. i attached some pics of my latest addition to the dashboard. what started to be as a key chain photo album was turned into a Gps. i managed to upload the exact Garmin GTN-750 images and made some cosmetic touch so it would look like a real gps. it is going to be installed on the passenger side of the dash. i will post some pics later of the installed gps. RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi Dan, thanks for the spinner info, i asked Tommy regard how much the trust of the engine should be, he replied that if it produces more then 15 kilos (33Lbs) of trust it should be ok. the DLE-111 produces 56 Lbs of trust, so i think it has more then enough trust. i sent an e-mail to spinner Dave Brown to see if they have a 4 inch spinner for a Biela 24 by 10 three blade prop. hope he replies yes. best regards Martin.

RE: TMMY Scale Composites 35% scale Cessna
Hi, thanks for the quick reply, awesome pics. as for the colour scheme i order the new 2009 with red metallic pretty much like the one you have in the pics. i will know order the arms next week as tomorrow i have to go to Switzerland for a week. My model is suppose to be over here at the end of February. i will be using a DLE 111 engine, it gives 56 Lbs of trust, i think it should be ok for this model. what are you using on yours?? regards Martin.
