RE: makes me angry again!!!!
I was raised on the less than adequate side...blah blah, we have all heard it before so Im not going there. (This thread is not about funds but the permission to obtain items for the hobby.) Soo I just bought my 7 yr old son a 100 dollar tank, which will be here tommorrow and ....another 100 dollar heng long tank. (stinkin kids) He recieved the HL tank a few daysago. Now he playing the Wii. Which is all good cause when he ask for something I try my hardest to get it for him, I always think back when I would have like something and got shot down. With all that said, I will not and do not spoil him. I do draw a line. *cough cough until the wife isnt looking hrmmm*

RE: Max pitch raptor 50 for neewbie?
Choosing words very carefully.... Myself and others.... Take it too a field and get on a buddy box, also leave the trainer gear on for awhile. The trainer isnt so much for if you have an accident but more of a stabilization weight and nothing is going to happen to me confidence builder. Also. An experience pilot will not only set blade pitch for each level of flying.( and show you how). But throttle curves and pitch curves change with changes in the heli. Now with that said...it is understandable some pilots can not get to a field or are force to learn themselves. It can be done but from what I have seen it can be very difficult. I wish you the best and soft landings. P.S. Ooh and I forgot. If possible get a simluator. FMS is free and you can use your radio. Wish you the best.

Use a stocking or something of that nature and ziptie it or secured it around the carb. Air is dirty.

RE: Next logical move
CP is no different than FP....they both move the heli up and various directions. Only difference is CP can be setup like a FP heli and like a CP heli (inverted). .30 for the win. Small enough to be cheap, big enough to scare the crap out of you.

RE: 1:9 Abrams
After looking around it seems a 1 16 would be a better way to go, most events I see on youtube and in general are 16 scale. I have never had a tank before. I usually fly helicopters. When I saw the tank I instantly had to have one. If you could excuse my lack of knowlegde.

RE: Do you own a valid passport?
I dont have one. I live acroos the street from Mexico. No seriously, I'm looking out the door at the black fence (mexico/arizona border). When I went to Mexico all I needed was a social security card, this was about two years ago. Things have really changed since then. I'm thinking of getting a passport because things really are cheaper in mexico (prescriptions, shrimp), I just have not got one yet... Now you guys got me thinking if I evver will. =].

Axe CP/Alpha 400 motor
Hello everyone. I have been searching for an answer all day. Obviously noone has done this. I have an Axe CP that does not fly do too battery capacity. I cant find a new Nimh battery. No prob, Ill just throw a lipo at it. Checking around I found somewhere the Axe CP is a 400 size heli. So I order a lipo, an ESC with BEC, and a brushless motor. The motor is an Alpha 400. http://www.hobbypartz.com/alpha-4003500kvbrushless-motor.html After checking a few things I find the Axe may not be a 400 but a micro with a 27 mm diameter motor. Others say the motor fits a Blade CP...which is an AXE CP.... >:[ Will the Alpha 400 fit an Axe CP? I have already ordered everything and have feared that I just threw money away.... Thanks for replying.

RE: Nothing but giant scale at your field, are you intimidated?
I recently had an intimadating experience... I have never flown before. First off, most flying were aircraft. One of the guys said something about heli's in unwanted territory.. I found out later their are heli's (maybe 7) not many. So I show up with no AMA and I dont know anyone with this: My heli from 1985.. The heli's out there are all newer with gy401 gyros, governors, voltwatches, dx7's, dx8's, the works. At this time I have no idea what this stuff is. This is what I have: A mechanical gyro (does it work?..) , and as much as I like my radio. The looks I get.. So anyhow, in the end, I ended up getting an AMA card, joining the club and a few of most took me under their wing and help me upgrade what I could. The rest of the guys seemed to warm up and trainer box me when they found out I had a Hanger 9 EZ fly trainer. Im sure they all mean well, but it was scary.

I have the accel. When charging those I put two wires in the end of the connector and use the aligator clips with the charger until I make a harness. You dont have to use the JST but I would for data and to balance charge.

RE: Shuttle Z Troubleshooting
They didnt sit down and show me. They did it in a way of....fixing it but did not leave me behind. If I had to do it again, I could up to the pitch curve, throttle curve part in the new radio. The problem with the heli....pretty much everything. It looks to never have flown in that state, and would have never have floe if I tried. It was pretty much a complete setup fromt the beginning. If it could be adjusted or reversed ...it was.

RE: Shuttle Z Troubleshooting
Hello Everyone! Sorry for the delayed response, work, kids, work, we all know. Soo, I failed to state I got this heli free. Yep it was given to me. So after I posted, I reset the radio... yep. Dont know what was in it but it didnt like it. Soo knowI have a fixable concern. The famous gyro spin. Before I went any further I took it to a local flying field and had the guys look it. I joined the AMA and their cub as well. The fixed it right up. Well...it is a Shuttle with a mechanical gyro and s5101 servos. They did their best. =]. Thanks for the replies.

Shuttle Z Troubleshooting
Good Afternoon everyone, Let me begin by stating i have searched my heart out for an answer before posting. I hope I do not repeat a post as I have seen it is looked down upon by the veteran members. I have a Hirobo Shuttle Z...obviously. I am not a rookie pilot, but I'm not fully experienced yet either. It starts and run fine. The concern I am having is that the heli spins left. Nose left tail right. I have tried full right trim, I have even loosen the tail rotor and moved it so the pitch was max right turn, meaning it could mechanically go no further even with the radio command. It was forced right. The heli still spins left.... . I know about ground wash and just the fact the heli spins because of p-factor. This isnt it. I have a mechanical gyro installed. I have tried with the gyro turned on and off. No change. I have ordered a HK401B to replace it but I seriously dont think the gyro is involved. What am I missing. I cant even hover with the heli spinning left as fast as the rotors. I have attempted some pics that are on photobucket and IMG link them here...hope they work. Thank you for any replies. Gyro Full right trim Force rotor to push right no matter what.
