RE: The new H9 Sukhoi gets a BME!
We have 2, (shortly 4) 85's here and 1 is on a greves pipe 35% 260 and the other is in the suk with an MTW 110 can, they both run absolutely beautiful. A big single is always gonna shake a bit more, but as long as the prop is balanced correctly and the engine is tuned correctly, it is a beast.

RE: reinforcing motorbox/firewall
ORIGINAL: The glue interface to the fuselage is no stronger than the weakest link, which is the wood.
What would you epoxy the CF cloth to???? I guess since the vibrations are tranfered through the motor box to the wing tubes, then that all needs to be reinforced also, since it is all glued WOOD.

RE: QQ-Yak 102" GenII Engine Template
Just got mine today, looks great thanks for the tip. All was in perfect condition, excellent job crating inside, double boxing to insure no damage. IT WORKED... I am only missing the opt. hardware pkg, and will contact my LHS tomorrow. Im sure Ill get it soon. This is my first 100cc size plane , so Im super stoked about getting it together and in the air. I have been a fan of QQ's since I started flying just 2 short years ago. I remember the first yak he made, 68" I think... I am also wiating for the PYTHON as I love bi-planes, Ilike my Ultimate but have moved on, I wanted something different, and the Python is it. This is also my first Yak...All my bud's have been telling me to get one , so I got ( IMO) the best. Thanks to everyone at QQ aircraft for there hard work and dedication to bringing us the best products possible, Thanks QQ for spending your time with me on the phone on multiple occasions. Now... If I could just fly like you.....[:)]

RE: 75cc Extra 260 Pictures!!!!!
ORIGINAL: Mitsu1 While this is a nice looking scheme and I'm sure a nice flying plane ... It looks about as much like an Extra 260 as some of the profile planes do. A plane should at least look somewhat like the full scale name it bears.
WTF ? Well what does a 260 look like then exactly?

I wish we colud get more input on the DA 75, and the 75cc 260, It would be nice to start studying up on weight savings. If it's gonna be longer than April/May, I'll just get another 50cc 260, [8D]

RE: 50cc QB 260 build thread
I apologize about the mis print @ the stock versus CF LG. My readings were stock- 9oz, CF- 6.5oz, for a diff of 2.5oz ..... I used JR 8611A's all @ , Futaba 3150 on THR. Big tank, 2400mah, 4800 mah Fromeco w/ regs, ALL STOCK HARDWARE. You can deffinitly use lighter servos, batt's and reg's, smaller tank, plus all the other stuff I mentioned, plus remove some excess material from the airframe, I beleive it would be scary close to breaking the 15.00 mark... JMO.

RE: 50cc QB 260 build thread
I cannot explain why all of the kits arent exactly the same weight, but mine was 15.91 on one scale and 16.17 on a digital fish scale hung from the tail wheel, the other was on its nose on the floor, not much difference. Appaerently I did get a lighter kit , or maybe somebody's scale is off a lil', maybe the ones we used, who knows for sure, but with all aluminum screws and bolts, controlhorns, lighter regulators, lighter servos, smaller fuel dot, (I used the big DA fuel dot) ALL cf gear+spinner, I would bet it can be in the 14# range , maybe 14.99, but thats still 14# either way you look at it. Are you guys sure @ your weights, Reason I'm asking is , because the cf landing gear is 6.5 oz lighter than stock, that itself is huge.

RE: 50cc QB 260 build thread
I opted not to use smoke gear on mine. All stock gear, Da 50, Fromeco 2400/ 4800 2 regs,8611A's all @ no pilot. all up weight 15.91 lbs. no spinner yet and 22x8 Mezjlik. I can see this plane easily in the 14lb range, allthough I think it doesnt need to be, the DA50 pulled it with much authority. 3 D's like a MOFO.......All cf tubes, landining gear, aluminum bolts and screws, lighter regs 2400 x 2 instead of 4800 on reciever, lighten the canopy take out some wood in the fuse that is for the tuned pipe set up, BAM... 14lbs EASY.

I bought my first slab, MoJo 60 w/ Saito 100 and it freakin rocks Dude, every body at my club turned their nose up at it when I told them I was building one, then they saw it fly, flew it them selves and now they havem too............. YOU CAN DO IT..........$90 kit 4 rolls of covering, hard ware and you wont give a shit if you dork it. mine has hit the ground several times , HARD, and I have'nt made a repair yet, broke a couple props, dinged the wing tip a lil, but nothing has broke yet. Is it possible to recieve more info on the future Bipe, maybe some sort of Pitts Python or what? That seems to be the rage at the moment. I will be ordering a 50cc 260 from you guys in a week or two, my Ultimate died this past Sunday and I'm ready for that new bird. I really like Aerowork's products and plan to continue flying your birds, Please tell ROCCO thanks and keep up the great work, the QB idea has you pegged on top for ARF's as far as I'm concerned . Thanks....

RE: Which engine has the best price/performance/durability?
In my humble opinion, all of the big power, high dollar motors , do the average hobbiest no good , only if your into following the series and racing all over the country trying to get picked by a sponser, do you need all that power. most people I see with these 3-400 dollar motors cant drive in a straight line, spin out all the time.Power doesnt always mean speed. I can get all the power of my RG to the ground, which makes my car go straight FORWARD, when others are skateing all over the track. Most people dont have a clue what throttle control is. Dont crash, use throttle control to make it hook up, and watch and see how much faster you get.
