RE: Rubber band power conversion using servo motor
should work fine. keep weight down. even use tailrotor mtr.100-150 mah lipo and 3 channel berg or spek ultralite is are good. 4x4 prop. good luck. mike

RE: Need help with rolling Circles
so do I in the last part of the circle. That is because the you are leaving the backside of the ac. when you practice again, start from the back side , see how it feels. be surprised when you catch on. tough 3D but very rewarding.

RE: Need help with rolling Circles
keep nose up before entering it.. Check you CG logitudinal and latitudinal also. CG's must be right. Use more elev when upright but watch for excessive yaw. granpa mike

RE: Survey: Micro Motor Endurance
keep motors cool is VIP. after a long hot run.,i have a lil PC fan motor at 5 v and canibalized from an old CPU board that cools down the motor fats so I can get back up. Both the internal stator/ rotor windings melt the varnish if too hot, then of course the supermagnets get weaker after several heat cycles. mike

nice micros, guys. got a 10" bipe to show soon. sure would like to find a 3 gram rcvr like the XPS nano. I use DX7 gear. DO they have a less thaan 3 gram rcvr? Is the nanolite really as light as tyhe XPS? granpa mike CPT USAF, rocket scientist,.... flyin at 8k feet in Grand lake CO has very thin air

RE: Micro 11 inch wingspan F-117
tip stall? must be pretty bad at slower speeds. Eh? Built a wild thing, basically a foamie triangle 28" base and 24" longitude. Only at high speeds does it work but heck, any wind and I have just a powered kite. Is yours similar? foamie mike

RE: aprkzone P51 rcvr
Parkzone brick is a custom RCVR. I don't have any specs or data. Therefore I suppose I'll just have to try the increased voltage. MAybe I can put a linear regulator between the 3s lipo and the rcvr and still get more volts to the mtr. PArhasn't gotten back to me about my ideas. Wiill try to contact them one more time. PS: whitcress, you got good ideas. Let you know how they work out.

RE: aprkzone P51 rcvr
true, brick drives only a brushed mtr. I forgot that. Therefore, can I up the voltage to the brushed mtr, brick and servos? If so, will, say a 3s lipo burn out any electronics?

aprkzone P51 rcvr
I want to increase the power of my P51. The stock mtr ( brushed w 11v nmh ) is inadequate at Denver alititudes. Will a 3S or 4S lipo pak burn up the brick? Can a brushless mtr be driven from the brick? OR do I simply change out stock electronics with a new rcvr, esc, mtr, batt pak?

have a baking soda powered prop weicker balsa model w 20" wingspan. Haven't flown yet. Consider it a collectable as it is old. RE: New News is News
P-51. want to increase volts to 4 S LIPO. Will receiver be ruined? Stock NMH batt too hvy for me and less volts. Anybody put linear egulators on each Servo to prevent servo smokin? I could design a BEC myself but suspect OTC BECs are available.

count me in. BTW Extreme power has a new nanolite 2.4g rcvr compatible w Graupner xtmr. Is it compatible w DSM2 spectrum xmtr? Looks like a very reasonable price for a 6 channel ultra lite rcvr. granpa mike ( building a 18" WS epp F22 from kit co in Colorado s[prings)

RE: E-Flite SE-5 for Indoor flying?
GWS tiger moth also hvy on the rudder, so put mucho dihedral in the top wing with fishing line across the span to give it almost a 10 degree dihedral. Turning is now tight enough inside a gym, and lift is reasonable. Response is very slow. May try the Se-5 next. Will let you know how it behaves.[;)]

RE: Setup question
20 AMP E-FLITE ESC brake not working. (all other programming features work). followed programming instructions more than once, hobby store tried as well. They said, brake 'on' is working , just not very strong. Huh? I couldn't tell the dif between 'brake on' and 'off'. Isn't the 'brake on' supposed to hard stop the prop in the same location every time? Or am I interpreting brake 'on' wrong. Or is this e-flite ESC 'brake on' weak to begin with. I am aware that some A/C want a soft brake, like helis, but I need a brake where upon the prop must stop in same position every time. Doesn't any type of brake 'on' (hard or soft) stop the prop in the same location? Flying a pusher WILD WING with a HAcker brushless and a 7x6 prop. Ground clearance insufficient so prop shaft will become bent every time I land. Even tried another transmitter and another crystal in both XMTR and RCVR.

RE: E-Flight esc Questions
MY e-flite 20a brushless does not brake the engine even after several attempts to program per instructions. Prop mostly stops in the same place but not always. Doesn't the brake function make the prop stop at the same position?
