Ok, just for clarification, you are saying to balance it 1" back from the leading edge of the wingtip not where the wing root meets the fuselage? Is that correct?

RE: Warbird Museums Reviews
The air and space museum at Dulles airport in Viginia is a definite must see.... They have an SR71, F-35, Concorde SST, F-86 Saber jet, Enola Gay, P-61 Blackwidow, mock up of a russian Venera spacecraft that landed on Venus, Space suit from Apollo 15, Mercury capsule, F4U Corsair, P-40, P-51B, and those are just the ones I can remember off the top of my head. There are literally hundreds of planes on exhibit there!!

How's this for an unusual paint scheme. Haven't seen another one like it. RLM76 for the underside. It's a G model from the Africa campaign, Tunisia 1943.

RE: War Bird Meet July 28-29 2012
I've been there a couple of times with my P-61 Black Widow R.I.P and my 60 size H9 Mustang. Coming on the heels of Warbirds over Delaware it's good for those who still have a warbird hangover from Delaware and want to satisfy that itch. By the way, haven't heard much from Jessie Russell on these boards lately. How's he and his dad doing? Hopefully can meet up with them in Delaware.

Didn't Black Horse just come out with a 109 in that size range similar to their FW190? It's not yet available here in the states, but I think you folks can get it.

Check bphobbies for spinners. I'm using one of their 4" aluminum spinners on my LA-7 and it looks pretty good. www.bphobbies.com

They do have larger, but the price point between the medium size and large size spinner on their website is 4" anything larger is more expensive but may still be reasonable for you all.[:D]

RE: Black Horse Macchi C.200
Well, here's a pet peeve of mine.... Why are so many manufacturers putting out these kits that are just shy of 80" wingspan? It can't be that hard to add another couple of inches and make it IMAA legal so we can fly it at the giant scale warbird meets. That's about the only thing that keeps me from looking seriously at some of the BH kits.

RE: ESM Price Increase from Troy Built Models
Well, I recently oredered a set of wings for my ESM LA-7 from Troybuilt and at time of checkout was quoted a shipping price of $116, but when I received my invoice, the actual shipping price turned out to be $55 less than that, so congrats to Troybuilt for taking care of the customer and not making a killing on the shipping cost. RE: ESM Price Increase from Troy Built Models
Well, I was always under the belief that the prices were set by the US distributor, however I noticed the other day that the price for the ESM LA-7 on Troys website is a good $70 cheaper than on the US distributors website, so Kudos to Troybuilt for returning their price to a more reasonable level. [:D] Now if they could just explain the large discrepancy in shipping costs between planes that are the same size??[:@]

RE: ESM price increases?!!
One other thing that I really can't understand and perhaps someone can explain it to me is why planes that are the same size and weight have two very different shipping costs advertised on the distributors website. Case in point, the 82" Hawker Hurricane and 80" Stuka ship for $79 and $69 respectively, while the 80" LA-7 and P-39 ship for $149 and $159 respectively. Can someone PLEASE explain that to me??!!![:-][:-]

ESM price increases?!!
Has anyone else noticed the lates price increases on some of the ESM planes. For some of the 80" planes, the increase is close to $100 when you factor in the increase price of both the plane and shipping? That seems a little bit too much of an increase all at once for me? [:o][:o]

The Top-Flite Giant scale P-51 spinners work good alse and are only about $27 at Tower hobbies. The Hangar 9 P-51 150 spinners are the same consistency as a beer can....[:-] I have 2 for my Mustang and went with the TopFlite spinners after seeing how flimsy they were. Wont hold up to a Starter being applied to them. First nose over and their toast.

Hate to put a damper on your xmas shopping, but you can get the 120 size for $249 with free shipping from www.wholesaleplanes.com Thinking about geting one myself and putting a Saito 180 in it. Can't beat if for the price and looks. Anyone know what retracts will fit in this bird? Also, Model Airplane News has a review of the 120 size by Rich Uravitch in its December 2010 magazine.
