RE: GTM Hanriot Build
Thanks Randy.. I am getting ready to order this kit and will be using all your building process on this post. I built GTM's D-8 last year and all the metal was attached to the frame with tiny handles that screwed into the frame, so you could take all the metal off the frame when needed. I was surprised to see you glued the metal on. As i remembered, the fitting of all the metal was very time cunsuming and hard. talk to you later.. Robert..

RE: GTM Hanriot Build
Randy.. Did the top and side panels on this kit come already cut or did you have to make them from scratch? Did the material come in the kit? Also, how did you glue the metal panels to the wood? Thanks.. Robert

G.P. new P-6E Hawk bipe
HiGuys.. Has anyone got great planes new P-6E Hawk bipe. I just ordered mine and wanted to know what engine you were putting in it. It calls for a 90 to 120 4 cycle. I was wondering if saito's 90 or 100 twin would be a good choice for this plane? This looks like a great ARF, and i just wanted your feedback. Thanks.. mitoor/c

RE: Charging nimh on a alpha-4 charger
I checked the battery and it is a 7500mah d cell. I was not sure a alpha-4 would charge nimh batteries, but the instructions said it would charge 1 to 12 cell and would charge from 10mah to 9999mah nicad and nimh batteries. I guess i will charge it on one port by itself and it would charge it over night using the full 1 amp. I tried to call Litco ind. but they apparently have no phone number. Has anyone used the alpha-4 to charge nimh batteries? Thanks Robert..

RE: Dave Patrick super cub
Tom.. What did you make your engine block out of? It looks like 1/4 inch plywood. Did you make it 2" out from the firewall? Do the engine bolts go from your engine thru the box and into the firewall? Your box is neat looking Tks.. Robert..

RE: Dave Patrick super cub
Ric.. I went to home depot and got my C channel. The largest size was 3/4 of an inch. They did not have 7/8 C channel. do you mean i should use C channel that is 2" or larger instead of 3/4? I guess i will have to use the 3/4" since it was the biggest they had. Could you tell me how long the wood pieces were on your box? It looks like you epoxied 2 short pieces between 2 longer ones

RE: Dave Patrick super cub
Ric.. I am just starting to install the OS 160 in my DP cub and would like to know how you built the box the engine is bolted to. is it made from plywood, what size plywood, how big is the diameter, and how deep it is from the firewall to the back of the engine. I know it needs to be as deep as to move the engine out so the back plate on the engine is 1/16 in front of the cowl, but just wanted to know how deep your box is. Also did you use 10-32 bolts to bolt the engine to the box. I appreciate your help. thanks Robert..

help with 8 cell battery pack
I need help ..I have an old 8 cell pack with 2000mah batteries in it. I started charging it on an astro flight charger on slow charge. The amps are set at 0.05 amps and the battery had 11.18 volts when it first started charging. It has been charging for 3:38 hours and 1.673 amp hours. It has risen to 11.91 volts. How high should the volts go up so i will know it is still a good pack? The batteiries are about 5 years old and have never been used. Thanks a lot.. Robert..
