RE: Revo owners may be able to answer my question
smaller the number on the spur = improved top end and larger the number = better low end. it is opposite on the c/b gears, you just have to play around with different combos to see what works for you and your engine.

RE: SLEEPER MAXX (4907)
alright well got the tmaxx out there with another header/pipe combo. this past weekend it was 91 deg. with the body off all i could get was 182 degs. body on i got to 219deg and the 26 red dot ran like a champ! with no issues at all., so i am wondering does it really matter what temp your reaching as long as your listening to your engine? also i am looking to sell the extreme pipe set up for a small block tmaxx! the sweet spot for the picco 26 is at the very end of the pipe. so there is not a lot of pipe left for the coupler and zip strip to hold it securly with out blowing off. I did set it up on my classic with 18cvrx and it screamed. i will post pics of the ths pipe and header set up tommorow!

RE: Got an T Maxx 3.3 today
Its a roll of the dice! Some people have great luck with them, others such as myself not so good. I personally have broke 2 3.3 engines. 1 in my revo (the crank pin) and 1 in my maxx.(split the connecting rod) check out my pic on the sleeper max thread. Iwent with the picco 26jl red dot and havent looked back.

the only difference between the lc3 and the lc4 is 1 is a hot plug and the other is a med plug. use the hot for break in it will give you a better idle>

savage 4.6 rtr w/3speed tranny
Dad has a savage 4.6 and he stepped up to a 3 speed tranny as an up grade. Keeping the stock CB gear and Spur gear we cant get it to shift twice. Nice and easy into the throttle or just gun it!! it only shifts once. we have adjusted it both clockwise and counterclockwise with no 2nd shift any help would be greatly appericated! thanks mike

RE: SLEEPER MAXX (4907)
ORIGINAL: DEKUM510 I got this kit: http://www.rcplanet.com/Robinson_Racing_Steel_Gear_Fwd_Wide_Ratio_p/RRP8007.htm No problems so far, this thing is a beast keeps getting faster and faster every day.
do you have a complete parts list for this mod?other then the RR gear set? i did this kinda backwards but i Robin at extremercmods is building the first pipe set up for the tmaxx with the 26 red dot. My revo needs a new engine so I am going to install the stock 26 in the revo. I am gonna get another 26jl reddot and let him mod it. that way it will be a matched set, but like you have read in the past posts i seem to have a problem with the tranny. so what i am gonna do is steel gear the bad tranny and see what happens. thanks mike. have you had any issues with your steel gear tranny? shafts, pins, bearings? anyone make a decent aluminum case or should i stay stock grey????

RE: SLEEPER MAXX (4907)
ORIGINAL: Snook Man <p class=''MsoNormal'' style=''MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt''><span style=''FONT-FAMILY: Arial; FONT-SIZE: 9pt''>The middle gear on the primary shaft is the primary 2nd gear. It should spin freely on the shaft unless the tranny has switched into 2nd gear. Unless that gear is stripped you need to look somewhere else for the problem. If no gears are stripped, look for broken pins that hold the gear(s) to the shafts.
from what i can do is the tranny that gave up has the same characteristics as the tranny that i got from a friend, except that the second tranny works.

RE: revo 3.3 engine smoking
watch the wide open long runs, we run at at county park which has an area in one section where we all show up. Trucks, park fliers, helis, and small rockets. its about 50 acres of nothing but wide open fun! Wrong!!!!! I have lost 2 3.3 engines to wide open runs!! and the best part of this is its not a club but everyone seems to talk with each other prior to playing ,radios, different ranges, when they are going up, or going out. we all respect each others intrests!!! and dont know each other from adam!!

RE: locking diff.
ORIGINAL: jrowles91 They make a spool to replace your diff gears for like $12. And this won't be messy to clean up when you want to put it back to normal. All of these ways you have to tear the dif apart, so just buy the part and keep it clean and simple.
Im with jrowles just purchase the spool.
