RE: Is this ok for a beginner guys?
I use the "hardened white blades" from helitek-rc on my CX2 / LV4 I've hit several things with them (couch, side of the house, father in law, father in law's car) and have yet to replace a single blade.

CX2, TBE after some upgrades
Hey everyone, have a question. Yesterday I installed a CNC lower hub, lower blade grips, and bearing holder. (Already had a CNC upper hub with grips installed before) After I installed them (all by Microheli, if that matters) I'm getting the TBE. I checked to make sure both inner and outter shafts were straight (outer was bent slighty, replace it) checked my flybar and weights.. Also, did my bets to make sure my swash was level (it appears to be) However I cannot seem to get the TBE under control. Could this possibly be a trim setting issue? I know that using the sticks I can "force" it to sit somewhat still in a hover, but without any control input it just circles round n' round. So, I was wondering if there are any suggestions you guys may have for me. Thanks for any help.

Lama swash on CX2/3?
Was wondering. Is an Esky Lama V4 swashplate compatible with a CX2/3 ? Was thinking about adding an esky swash, and lower hub to my CX2 and was wondering if it may be possible (even if I had to replace the ouutershaft as well) I know alot of the parts can be switched over, and wa shoping the swash/hubs could be too. Thanks, Mike,

RE: cx3 520n
I've flown both a CX2 and a CX3. I can tell you that from my own experience there isn't enough difference to pay the extra for the CX3. First off, the "body" is crap. Its annoying to remove it (if it gets broken, or you just want to replace it, etc) Also I seriously dislike it's stock landing skids. Second, to me there is no point in a heading lock on a coaxil. I never had a bit of trouble controlling my CX2 without it. I feel E-flite just added that so they could jack up the price. Think upgrades also. Most people I know that has a CX3 has put on CX2 battery trays, landing skids, and bodies.

I dunno then I can fly my CX2 outdoors but its hardly considered stock. Same with my Lama V4 (although not as modified)The BOL is the only "outdoor" co-axil heli I know of. Sorry.

Honey Bee FP "bodies" ?
Im sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it from searching (everything else came up, though) =) Does anyone know if you can purchase bodies for the Honey Bee MK3? I am interested in getting one (if possible) for after I get the hang of flying, etc. Thanks everyone Mike,

Xtreme 180SE's, 2 batteries safely?
Hey everyone. I have (another) dumb question, lol. On my CX2 I am running a pair of Xtreme 180SE motors. Yesterday I tried a little experiment and ran through 2 LiPo packs back to back. After the second one, I felt the motors and they were still fairly cool (still not quite as hot as my V4's stockers get after 1 battery) My question is, as long as they stay relatively cool is it safe to run 2 packs back to back without damaging the brushes? Was also wondering if anyone has tried to use a Heatsink with the SEs. I have one from before when I had original motors, but haven't reinstalled it yet. Was afraid covering up some of the vents on the motor's sides would cause more harm than good. Thanks guys! Mike,

Question, HBFP trims?
Hey everyone. I have a question. I have a HoneyBee MK3 I've been trying to learn to fly (making the move from coaxil to FP) and im having an issue. No matter what I do, as soon as I get it off the ground the unit flies backwards, and always curves to the right while moving back. I've noticed it does this even when I move the stick all the way forward. My father in law has a Sabre EF, which I know if about the same exact heli except a different canopy. I can get his to hover OK for a few seconds at a time, but the same movements with my HBFP has zero effect. Any suggestions? My trim adjustments doesn't seem to make a difference either.

RE: CX3 outdoors?
My father in law has a CX3 we've modified some. Got rid of the stock body, got a new canopy and installed a tail boom. He also put on a folding blade conversion kit / extended inner shaft set plus a shorter flybar (all from http://www.flyrcrivesud.com/ ) and his will fly pretty well outside. Personally, I have a CX2 that I use outside almost daily. Got my stuff from Helitek. I have one of their FBC kits, steel flybar, V2 inner shaft and use their hard white blades. Of course I also have some Xtreme 180SEs that I had to get elsewhere (father in law's still use stock 180s) Both fly pretty decent outside. His stock motors have a hard time in real stiff wind, but my Xtremes seem to handle it a little better. In other words, its possible. We've both flown in 3-5mph winds without too much trouble. When it gets much higher his CX3 with stockers starts to have a little bit of trouble. *EDIT* I've been looking at Esky's BOL (Big Outdoor Lama) I think its cheaper than the CX2/3s run and also think it runs two 370 motors if im not mistaken. I've heard it'll fly outside without any problems at all. Haven't ever seen one in person though.

Question, FMS Sim?
Hey guys, I have a question. I have a HBFP (and a mini super cub as a matter of fact) and I am hoping to use a copy of FMS to get the hang of flying a FP heli since I am moving up from coaxil. I have the program installed and everything, but im having an issue. I calibrate my controller as the program says to do. Then when I go to try and use it my controls aren't setup right. Example, to make the heli lift up I move the left stick to the right (in real flight that stick moves up for throttle) So I am assuming it has my throttle and other control mixed up. However when I try and adjust it in the program it does the same thing. No matter what I do I have to move the left stick to the right to take off (aka, throttle up) Anyone know what I could be doing wrong? Thanks guys!

RE: Blade CX2, metal upgrades?
Yeah, the extended shaft is a winner IMO. I have that also, as well as a FBC installed (I think by now most people do, lol) My biggest "goal" is to have the ability to somewhat safely fly outside. Right now I can take it outside and it does pretty well, but was wondering if adding CNC parts would add enough weight to help any.

V4 on a CX2 frame?
Hey guys, have a question. I currently have both a CX2 and a V4. I've noticed the CX2 is much faster than my lama, and I think some of it may have to do with the fact its motors are side by side up front. Can the V4's innards be installed on a CX2 main frame? Are there any real advantages or disadvantages in doing so? Thanks guys.

Blade CX2, metal upgrades?
Hey everyone. I am considering some metal upgrades for my CX2 , here is what I am considering. CNC mainframe, swashplate, upper and lower blade hubs (folding blades) My biggest question is will this help with outside flight? I realize most of these "upgrades" are made for looks. However, I also know they have to add one at least some extra weight, and weight helps outside lol. I know alot of people around here fly the CX2, and I would bet quite a few have these same upgrades. Notice any difference flying outside? Thanks!

Been too windy today to take her outside =( will try tomorrow between showers though (suppose to rain here) I did make a dumb mistake though, I asked for suggestions / advice without providing all the information. Sorry guys =( dumb mistake on my part. I have the following modifications for my V4. Boomtown M4 tail boom, Helitek-RC V2 extended inner shaft, and steel flybar with weights (will try adjusting the weights in abit see if that helps!) I will also take a look into making that adjustment to the swashplate. Thanks for all the suggestions! Mike,

RE: Best prices for Honeybee RCs?
Here is a silly question! Anyone know where I could maybe find one used? Im not against buying used, even if it needs a little repair along the way. I've searched around and havn't been able to find much to choose from used =( Also, The HB K2 sales for around 130 (Xheli, etc) and is classified as a size 400 class. While (for example) the Esky Belt CP sales for around 180, and is shown as a size 450 class. Is there enough of a difference size wise (IE, outside flight) between those two, or will the smaller 400 class work OK outside as well?

Lama V4, outside forward flight
Hey guys, was hoping someone could help me figure this one out, lol. I have a Lama V4 thats slightly upgraded (Model 4 boomtown boom, and Helitek-RC extended shaft so far) Inside the heli flies perfectly, and in all directions as it should. When I take it outside it refuses to fly forward. It will literally sit in place. Reverse, and side shifting all work like normal, and it'll turn as it should. However, it just refuses to move forward. Im already planning to upgrade the motors one day (hope to go brushless) but it just confuses the heck out of me how it'll fly fine outside except straight ahead.

Blade CP, are the stories true? and other ?s
So tonight I caught a deal on ebay for a used Blade CP I just couldn't pass up. I realize being an original CP, and not a CP+ or Pro / Pro 2 that I will need to make some upgrades along the way to keep up with the times, so to speak. I was wondering, are the "horror stories" true? I've been told that the original CPs are extremely difficult to get the hang of. I realize that it'll be ALOT of difference going from coaxil (CX2 / V4) to a CP and its single blades and tail rotor. These things, however are flyable given time and patience, aren't they? LOL Also, its a basic core Blade CP as I stated earlier, and I realize there'll be upgrades it needs along the way. Can anyone give me some basic ideas of what it will really need the most? I've heard the original CP tail motors weren't very good, etc. Thanks guys!

Best prices for Honeybee RCs?
Hey everyone. I am looking to move up to "standard" single blade set helicopter (as I've posted before looking for suggestions) I have decided to stick with E-Sky after the trouble I've had getting my CX2 working the way I want it to. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can find some good prices? Currently im considering the following, Honey Bee King 2 II CCPM 3D Honey Bee Mk 3 (of course, not 3D) Honey Bee CP2 (if I can freakin find one that is, lol) Still haven't made my mind up on if I want 3D or not, esp since most of the prices are fairly close. I'm still nervous about jumping from coaxil to something thats 3D capable. However, im also not sold on going to something thats FP, and then one day buying another heli that isn't. Thanks guys, im just hoping someone out there can point me in a direction I haven't looked yet =)

Question about 180 motors
Hey guys, I have a question. Currently I have three helis. I have a Blade CX2, MCX and a Lama V4. I am saving up to go brushless with my V4, and to the best of my knowledge theres not much that can be done with a MCX, lol. So my question is this, Which 180s should I consider going with for my CX2? Currently its running replacement stockers (Esky motors if im not mistaken) I've looked around, and so far the following have caught my eye. Xtremes, XtremeSE, AeroNuts, and AFCsystem 180s I was hoping I could get some opinions from you guys (since im sure most of you have "been there, done that) motor wise =) All seem to be within my price range ATM (around 30ish, or at least I think) Im the most curious about the AFCsystems, but had hoped I could get some honest opinions. Thanks guys!

Looks neat, but I think I'll likely pass on that one. I enjoy my MCX, and could always "upgrade" it to a different style if I decide I'd like a different body, etc. I doubt many MCX owners would shell out about 140 bucks for the new version. Just me though. I'm sure it'll sell well =)

CX3 Servo "horns"
Hey guys, have a few questions. I am working on my father in law's CX3. I noticed his servo horns are quite a bit shorter than my CX2's. His only has 2 spaces for the linkages (first, that the link is in and second thats empty) While my CX2 has the first hole with the linkage in there, and 4 additional after that. My questions are, first is this correct and the CX3's horns only have 2 holes (I ask because both horns almost look broken at the end) and second will moving the linkages out to the further spot make the heli fly more "aggressive" ? Also, if I were to move the linkages out to the other hole, would I need to readjust the linkages to the swash or keep them the same?

Making that move, coaxial to single blade?
Hey everyone. Currently I have a BCX2 and a Lama V4 I am flying. So far Im really enjoying them both (well, im enjoying the CX2 now that it actually flies, lol) and the Lama rocks. Anyway, my question is what would you guys suggest for someone thats getting ready to move from coaxial helicopters to a single blade set? 3D aerobatics aren't all that important to me (at least not yet anyway, Im kinda planning on getting the hang of a FP model before I step up to 3D. Im afraid if I make the jump all the way to 3D (like the CP Pro2 or Blade 400) it'd be too big of a single step jump. So when I do make that jump up to single blade set what would be a good first step? Falcon, Honeybee, etc? I would like to stay with electric models, and would also like one thats RTF, and able to fly outdoors in light wind. Any suggestions would be greatly helpful. Thanks!

While I haven't ordered any of those. I did order a set of helitek's hardened white blades. So far I've been though a few "mishaps" with them, but they've held up. I think they ran me like 3.50 or 4 dollars or around there. When I first got my Lama I shattered 3 of the replacement blades it came with within two days. So far these have been great =)

So true! While I did purchase a Lama V4 during all these issues with my CX2 (and no doubt, the Lama is a great little heli) I was super excited to see the CX2 back in the air. Was such an awesome feeling watching it actually work the way it was suppose to, lol. Cheesy I know =) Since then I have managed to bust up my canopy (fell off mid flight, the nose shattered) so for now Im flying it around my living room without one. Looks funny, but it flies so nice =) I really like the looks of those 400's I've seen one in action before in a hobby store down by my parents.. Those jokers are awesome.
