RE: Clark electronics TK20
it's always dangerous to have any electronics bared and opened, any metallic stuff that gets into it will short circuit and fry the unit in an instant. You should wrap it up with "something" for protection

buying directly from clark makes more sense. I don't think any of the reseller can provide more professional technical advises or better after sales service

RE: Tank Museum message
rumors have it that tamiya is in the process of stopping the production of all 1/16 tanks, as china's 1/16 tanks are taking up tam's sales and also the 1/16 was and has never been a good profitable category in the first place. It was just Mr. Tamiya's personal preference. The actual sales figures overrules his preference, I guess. If you see the 1/35 2.4Ghz IR tanks, there are no new additions either.

RE: Danish Leopard 1 A3.
it's a great tank, considering only Tamiya is offering in 1/16, too bad it is static kit. but it will be great when upgraded with electronics of your choice. Unfortunately, Tamiya tries to save some cost on the tracks, which is the wrong version (is it becoming normal for Tamiya to make mistakes?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e67-XOB5mAE http://www.afv-model.com/4711shop/product_info.php?info=p2096_Metal-track-Leopard-1-Gepard-Kit.html http://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/katalog/en/116-Military/Tanks-and-Accessories/Leopard-1A4Gepard/Metal-track-set-for-Tamiya-Leopard-1-Gepard-series-in-1-16-scale::6948.html http://www.kennysmodeltank.com/photo/Accessories/1_16/1_16%20Leo1A4.JPG

RE: Free Gift from Impact
http://www.rcabs.com/forum/index.php?topic=790.0 all of our club members used LiPo or Li-Ion batteries, since 2009 The oldest tank in the club was bought in 2002. So far, LiPo batteries outperformed the NiHM batteries. That's what we saw in our club.

RE: QUESTION to the respected brand TAMIYA
I greatly doubt that any Tamiya personal is monitoring this forum. There was a email address for Customers to write in at their international website, but it is gone now (just checked). If you really wanted to make your point about Tamiya, put it all the way to Japan WINDOW@tamiya-inc.co.jp Just do not have too much hope. Most of the replies that they replied to me were pretty negative. 1/16 tanks is not even a "snack" to them Just for the sake of chit chat: at the second page of Tamiya catalog, there is a introductory section "The Art of Modeling" At the final paragraph, it reads: Tamiya also places great importance on customer feedback in the development of new items.........etc...etc....etc...[8|] [8|]

RE: TAMIYA The History And Evolution
the original youtube video clip was uploaded by a Japanese hobbyist on 9th Feb afternoon. After my email to him, trying find out why the clip was deleted. His reply: since it shows Mr. S Tamiya and Tamiya logo, he later (about 12 hours later) felt that the video needed to be reviewed by Tamiya Inc for their approval. This is very typical of Japanese. Especially Tamiya Inc and Mr. S. Tamiya have deep respect from local Japanese. For everyone's information, Mr. S Tamiya had provided scholarship funds to many schools inside of Shizuoka Perfecture. Mr. S Tamiya deeply believes on the importance of hands on education with younger generation
