RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread
ORIGINAL: B44&501xRacerEX
ORIGINAL: malice23 SO, sensored or sensorless brushless motor? whats your opinion?
I run a Tekin R1 Pro Sensorless in my 501, the rotor is sensored but it's wired sensorless. And they dont make the 3T 362 brushless motor anymore it's been discontinued on tower for a while. It's not really a 3T, but more like a 9T brushed motor equivelent. 15/91 is my gearing, temps are barley 150 F after a 7 min run. The only sensoreless I will run is a High Quality Tekin system. I run Novak and LRP systems in everything else I have.
castle sensorless aint good enuf for you?

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread
ORIGINAL: BuzzBomber My 2¢: It's a lot less of an issue now with better batteries and better controller software than it was even a year ago. Also, in a 4wd car a silky smooth throttle response from dead stop is a lot less critical than in a 2wd or something like a rock crawler. I'm running a sidewinder esc with the latest firmware and CMS 4600 in my DB01 and I never have any cogging issues or problems getting a smooth start. And yes, I do race it.
anyway what happen to all the castle esc hype?? it was hot stuff for the past few year till the hobbywing esc came out and regarding he cogging issue i couldnt agree much for me as a basher it dosent matter with a good batt i dont have cogging issue

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread
ORIGINAL: Ttam Says Blarg Ya I wouldnt buy a front one way for your situation. Its really for high traction surfaces. So unless your constantly on pavement your probably going to loose performance. Put the money into a slipper clutch or something else.
i totally agree with you on that i had a front 1 way and i really dont like it seems to me like i lose lots of traction when im running on offroad surface
ORIGINAL: dimblum
ORIGINAL: mog ruith tried the front 1 way on my durga seems that it dosent fit me at all the way it handles and turning was great but seems the front 1 way makes my buggy lose lots of traction compared to the normal diffs is this how its suppose to work??
The Front One-Way should only be used for smooth high traction surfaces (carpet, tarmac, etc
ORIGINAL: dimblum
ORIGINAL: mog ruith any of you guys running a front one way in your db01??? how do you like it compare to the stock ball diff??
I run a center one-way since I race off-road (dirt). The front one-way is great if you are racing on high traction surfaces like carpet or tarmac. Once you get used to them, they are great.. You might want to disable the drag

RE: dark impact or durga?
i prefer to go with a shaft driven car, unlike belt it needs more attention and with the durga you will always be tightening the diffs every now and then like i do but in your case weather a df03 or db01 i say go with the db01 the plastics are more durable than the df03 and yeah i love my durga though i got to tighten the diff after every session but thats not so difficult isnt it??
