RE: BEST ON ROAD TOURING CAR???
My buddy and I are looking to parking lot run them and don't want the belts to get torn up with pebbles and stuff. Also we want to be able to put any body on them as he likes the newer stuff and I like the older stuff HPI has nice bodies for on road still up in the air about which one to get maybe just slam a CORR truck and throw a serious motor and some street tires [:D]

RE: All-new brushless Traxxas boat in June, 6S capable, 50mph!!
Having the SV-27 in super waves is awesome I have done it and as long as you don't mind getting wet that boat loves the bigger waves and wakes from boats. Mine has been probably 10ft off the water jumping waves and wakes and has subbed many times and it just comes back for more. There is nothing like standing on a real boat and seeing your SV go by under water pop back out and keep right on going. Or come flying accross the water and see it vanish then come back [:D]

RE: hpi savage flux noobie
I still have the stock diffs in mine but I stopped doing standing back flips a while ago. Make sure you fill the diffs with silicone diff fluid and make sure you grease the ring and pinion gears with HD grease for automotive bearings or HD grease for the HPI baja which is what I used and the stock diffs have been pretty good so far and I have fone through 3 stock pinion gears. Watch the pinion drive gear for wear also you will know when they are shot cause they will be very sharp and pointy get it out of there when it gets to that point before it takes out the slipper gear (spur gear)

I have a list of trucks also and the Baja is the most fun by far Love my Savage Flux and the power but nothing beats running a 1/5 scale just ask my wife who runs a 5B and likes it better then her brushless slash [:D]

RE: Does the Flux need any hop-ups?
better tires the stockers blow off the rims on 3s and watch the wheel nuts make sure they stay tight other then that the diffs seems to be a pretty solid truck

over the last 20 years i have been running RC cars and trucks and I have only seen 1 vehicle last with aluminum arms on it and that was the HOT BODIES LSP. Had one for 2 years and raced it regular it was an awesome truck and had great steering with Kyosho front steering hubs installed still have the hubs but the truggy is gone and I don't race Nitro anything anymore [:D]

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
I had an emaxx to run in the snow but I sold it and have been kicking myself ever since but I kinda want something that I can turn over to people without the worry of something getting destroyed and the emaxx is a bit much for a beginner the stampede looks to be the best all around cheap basher that I can find and being in this hobby for 2 many years I have had just about every truck and car there is at 1 time or another and this truck is one of the only ones that has made it hands down over the years my buddy bought 1 for his son and they love it super fun light and easy on batteries

RE: soldering!?!
you can try 80 on the brass tube but it won't be enough remember that small diameter sloder makes like much easier when dealing with this stuff especially with the wires and terminals

RE: The 2 speed gears woble.
just to let you know I have had one of these trucks for 4 years and I never did much to it once I got a good engine in it the tranny should be a little noisy and spin freely I have had mine in the mudd and snow and everything well the last few times out I was eating that cheappo 2 speed from the after shock take the 2 speed apart and make sure you have the XXXL version with the bearing inbetween the gears this is vital Also I pulled the tranny down and I had several bearings that were frozen causing major drag but the truck would still run great imagine that. Also don't be affraid of the tranny its very simple to work on 4 bolts and move the front diff forward a bit and it pops right out put grease on all the internals and check the bearings especially if you bought the truck used

RE: Proud new HPI Baja 5T Owner
there are a few things to remember when first driving this truck STOPPING and STOP you have to remember that the beast is 30 pounds of plastic and metal rolling at 40 mph test the brakes every time you run it and get a kill switch and a good 2.4 radio I recommend the Fasst stuff from Futaba. Remember to fill the diff and read the manual and watch when you take things apart there are alot of screws also these trucks are awesome and after 20 years of the hobby I finally got large scale which was a great day in history Currently I have 2 Baja's cause my wife could not be with out her own [:D] both have Fasst radio's and kill switches that are activated by the 3rd channell on the remote and remember if you go futaba read about the servo settings and the stock servo before turning on the radio learned this the hard way I fried my T's original servo by not reading and trying to get out and play to fast if u want more info go here www.hpibajaforum.com

RE: Stadium truck poll
I have run them all and I have a BLITZ which is basically a firestorm also have owned and raced a XXXT with a 5.5 and 10.5 novak brushless in it for over 5 years truck had never been changed and the tranny took the 5.5 with no issues it is currently in storage cause it vidal DNA went into the BLITZ so I would say the XXXT or the firestorm but I have never run one i also owned a T-4 here and there but did not care for there front arms but RPM takes care of that problem at the track it was always the Losi's fighting for rear traction and too much steering and the T-4 having pleanty of traction but not enough steering
