RE: Saito FG-20
Hi;So is my math correct?Figure one gal of gas at 128Oz,so to round things off say 30Oz/qt.So at 20 to 1 would meen 19 Oz of gas to 1 Oz oil.SO for 1 gal gas would use 6.4 Oz of oil.SO I was wrong but only ran it for few minutes then started thinking about this.Already added 1/4 cup so another little over half of the measure should give me the 20:1.Thanks for the counsel!!!

HI;New to the 20 and gas!I just tryed to run it and purred like a kitten!BUT am I correct that you only use a 1/4 cup of oil to a gallon gas?Doesn't seem like much.I am useing the 100% synthetic they recomend!Just seems like so little oil thought better ask before I run it again!!Thanks!

RE: Power for TopFlite DC-3
That is a bueatiful ship!Just picked up a pair of new OS 32 SXs figure they should be good size little compromise from the fellows that use 40s and still should be a little more than the 25FXs.Always wanted to try them Have a Royal B-25 and 7' PBY on the bench of course they have been on it for an awful long time.HAve just been questioning the glow engines after couple of disasters due to engnie problems.Always haved used 25FPs or Mag 28s suspect some problem on the twinstars was due to small tanks mounted firmly against the wood and always look to be foaming!Have used46FXs with very good luck but ships were bigger and had much better tank mounting situations!THis DC-3 has larger tanks and mounted inboard on the wing center section!Props look nice but probably to big for these engines.

Hi;Just reading that they help economy on these engines and maybe cleaner running?I looked on Horizon site they have several butnone looke like they would fit on the 100!See no provision to bolt it on and they say nothing on there web site as to what engines they fit although this one has no bolts there and only one of them doesn't show bolts for attachement?Any hints??Thanks!

Power for TopFlite DC-3
HI;Just bought one of these at swap!WOndering about power? He said had used OS 40s and also 32s in it.He thought could use OS 25FXs OK but wondering what others think?Have had good luck with the reliability of the OS engines so probably stick with them!Looks like the engines are fairly close together so maybe shouldn't be to bad in an engine out situation.Have only used the 25s on twinstar but that is lot smaller others have always been 40-60 size in larger planes. Thanks!

Real Flight 4.5 Float planes
Hi;Question about the floats?Have only 3 float planes the PBY,Cub and Supersportster on floats! All 3 of these planes tend to dig in the front of hull or floats,The PBY literaly sits in water and rocks back and forth!Flown quite a few floats planes and never experienced this on any of them!!WHen you start T/O run the front digs in!Would say the floats are mounted improperly but no way to change them??Any thoughts othere see this same behavior??Thanks!!

Hi;What I did was go to Dell,They actually had the figures for the 4.5.They could pull up and tell what was needed to run it.Just loaded it and works bueatifully!!Went the extra money and bought the 17" Studio!!With everything cost almost $1100 but only slightly more than a 15"and sure looks nice!I could find the exact things they put on it if you need but like I said just asked them for what needed for optimnm preformance.Don'tknow much about computers so took there word for needs!I was scared of others who were guessing at what needed!!!Good Luck!!

RE: Info on Aventura Twin??
Thanks much for the excellent info!Funny thing is I bought it hanging on the ceiling of a ocal hobby shop,Told wife this thing will never fly with those littlemotors etc but just thought it was cute.Have been know to buyplanes that I like looks of without actually expecting them to fly.Since learning about hobby city in China electrics look more appealing sure difference inthere prices compared to US.Have seen Ivans planes he sure does some bueatiful work.My trounble is with the giveaway prices find on used planes can't bring myself to build! When get home have to figure out how to rig that GP PBY.Just matter of the wireing would have been easier if had bought all the components from GP but to cheap!Just have to solder up some wires! Thanks again for all the info found the RC site with the info.WIll be anxious to get it flying when get home live on a lake so good for seaplanes!

WIl be anxious to try it out!Know very little about electrics prefer Glow but guess time to get with the modern world! Is it OK to run them on those 11.1 lipos /Have the GP PBY but have yet to figure out how to wire it etc.LIke Twins but tired of one engine landings.Have 2 big PBYs,one an 86" really would like to go electric but again they are very forgiving planes so maybe glow OK there!Just lost bueatiful Dualist,Lost engine on a stall turn, happens to often on glow!I try to go back and correct the spelling but am such a poor typist would never get anything typed if got to upset abut spelling!

RE: Info on Aventura Twin??
Hi;Just wondering the one I have has little tiny props!Graupners,12-12cm and 4.7-4.7".They sure look tiny on it.Looks like stock motor set-up just couple of silver can motors!Set it on ground with a 3S11.1 1300Mh battery wqoldn't even move but then of course it is a seaplane tried a 2100 Mh one and did move across the lawn!Just seems those are awful small props and see yours has 6/4s on it soundslike more reasonable size! Also missing the tip float on one side may try without them as it has a pretty wide fuselage, actiually have one float for it but might be better with none than the one.Neat looking little plane looks like probably long out of production just like the Kyosho PBY I would like to have!!Thanks for the info!!!

Hi Jack:no expert on PBYs but would not use rt.thrust on both engines would go for out thrust on each not both same way?Keep it on water till it wants to take off horsing it into air is sure tip stall as you have found out!!Have been told by a fellow who flys one quite a little that they really need 25s but people put 15s in and they make a fine boat!Look on the seaplane section there are a couple of fellows who realy know these things and try to contact one of them for advice!Just doing the GP electric one will use CR props on it but is easy on electric!Every thing I see here claims not a big asset, had a dualist with them flew beautiflly but I understand they fly nice without them to!Good Luck!!

RE: Polk Hobbies Tracker III
Hi;Yes should probably send them in but getting costly to do that now with currenty UPS costs.Although since quitting useing them haven't had a glitchs or unexplained crash! The only other one at our field got the hint with one plane and no longer used his there!I have never questioned the seeker 2s and still use them in several planes although now switching over to 2.4 and the Futaba 9Cs Planes last so much better now!!!We fly next to a huge military testing facility and I believe that something maybe in there design allows them to be affected by some of whatmay be going on at that base!!I fly them up in Wi.and have never had a bit of trouble there as has the other fellow to just don't use them here in Yuma Az.anymore!Other radios don't have the same problem as often as the Trackers!John has been so cooperative when I have talked to him and has checked some of the radios for me always only answer I get back is it is a programing problem and could be fixed over the phone!Couple have been problems with the gimabls too if I remember correct!I have 2 9Cs one with the spectrum 2.4 and one with the Futaba 2.4 module and just ordered the synthasised module that should cover all bases!Flying with out the glitches is muchmore relaxing. No more unscheduled loops and dives etc!I did realy love the radios and for there price hard to beat just sending couple of seeker 2s back to be checked out were from past crashes.BIg hassle sending them back when can get equipment that seems to preform much more reliably. As I said never have had problem at any other field with them!Good Luck!
