RE: 1600mm EPO Cessna 421
Yes probably not a big deal but the starboard one has a lot of outthrust! Funny mine was one of the last ones sold on EBAY too!Just noticed that there is no mention of mounting the battery in the booklet either!Sounds like some had problem with these retracts? Thanks!!

RE: 1600mm EPO Cessna 421
Hi:QUestion re; nacelles,No marking re:port and starboard motors! One nacelle does have the motor set with considerable outthrust!the other has possibly a slight amount of outhrust also!this would leave the starboard engine with lot of outthrust, compared to very little on the port motor?Thought should be the port with the more outhrust? My plane has the retracts operated by remote servos,is this the early version I see mentioned? It was one of the last sold on Ebay! Thanks!

Hi Larry:I postedd this once but not there so hope this doesn't now go on twice.Just wanted to see what you get with the plane sounds from others like it includes everything servos, retracts, motors etc.Would like to hear what you get before I bid.The add would seem indicate that none of these are included??Thanks

Can I charge thru the balance plug?
Have seen some smallbatteries that apparently used the balance connecter for charging?Useing 5K 4cell lipo in my electric drill works great but have the balance terminal sticking out and would be nice if could use it for charging!Have some small LIpO that seem to do this.WOuld save me putting an external connecter for the charge wire!Maybe not supposed to do this but drill sure works niceand battery fits compleletly in the box on the drill!Only 14.8 volts but I can't stop the drillwith my hand even though it is an 18volt!I am sure some of you can answer this but I am rather new with Lipos! Thanks

RE: Good R/C deals from the vendors at the AMA Convention?
Well made our annual 500 mile run to the show!Came away verey disappointed!!!As last year there were againewven less venders there many empty spaces!!Swap meet was on Sat and Sunday I guess but we decided not worth the hassle to get there for it as is held in tiny very crowded room!!No idea where the venders went to but looked even emptier than last year when we noticed the drop in venders also but figured give it another chance but was even worse this year.No idea why they stayed away if prices were raised to point where they felt not worth the time or what! There were some very nice displays there!!!Not big on electrics but they were the big item there and some companies sure had some neat ones!Getting to the point where that 500 mile drive may not be worth the effort. No matter which direction I go am about a 150 miles from a decent hobby shop so really look forward to attending this show but just very disappointed!!

they go on as long as tyhe glue and balsa holdout.Mine has been flying the last year with a 4*60 wing ,little big but works bueatifully and cost a dollar at a swap meet.MAde tip floats out of foam and glued them on!Just depends on how determined you are to keep it alive!!

Individual throttle control Optic 6
Just wondering if can set this twin engine Dynman PBY's radio up for the individual throttle control for steering, requires it to disconnect when throttled up but use it for steering!I know it can be done with my Futaba 9C but may not have the necessary functions on this smaller radio? This is an Optic 6 with the 2.4 module! And if it can be done can you explain in terms that a person who is rather radio illiterate can understand??Thanks

RE: Air Retract Question!
John:Now the question is where do I find those adapters.I actually have a pump in Yuma that works on one plane but won't work on the other one I have out there and now have 2 more to fit!Planes sell so cheap at the swaps just can't pass them up!Need to either keep all retract planes in Yuma or get duplicate pumps.Probably better keep them in Yuma where we have nice blacktop runways!Going to be late leaving here but will make it in time for the float fly anyway! Thanks!!

ID Waco Bipe?
HI;Well picked this up at Swap meet couldn't resist it!Just wondering if know what it might be?SO many posts on that Waco site and most look like pretain to larger one.THis has a 60"top wing and 53" lower has the usual looking cowl with the blisters etc.It is probably scratch built as even the cowl is done in wood and formed etc formers have number written on them so think probably back to the scratch building!.Older Dacron covering and painted paint is showing some cracking so is probably pretty old but sure pretty ship!Probably about same as the smaller Pica or Cox one?Any idea what versin this might be.I have that Hobby people version but this looks different ffrom that and hope is better built!!Only ID in plane is note saying flys nice use a 60 or better a 90 and is covered with Dacron and painted! Just wondered how this size Wacos were if flys as nice as looks should be good ship! Thanks!

Air Retract Question!
I tend to buy used models and presently have 3 with air retracts! They all seem tyo have complete systems but look to have different fill valves?Tried a friends pump and doesn't fit all of them and need a pump! Some of these are old did they change fill valves along the way or is it maybe different brands.Anyway any hints on filling the different ones and what pump to buy they seem tobe scarce only found the one on TOwer.Even HK doesn't seem to have the pumps! They don't have servos I see some servos referred as retract ones can I use and ordinary servo or do I need a special one! Thanks

RE: Transmitter trays
I use the one from the rctrayman that was mentioned earlier.Saw the price on it at the Ama show in Ca and almost died can't believe a cheapskate like me would have spent that much but Ilove it!Also have several others all work good.Am very unconfortable trying to fly without it.Can let go of Tx to do trim on planes realy nice that way.As Isaid earlier the thing is Ican't stand to fly without it that is why I have several with various Tx in them!Guess everybody to there own choice!!

RE: WIND,WIND,WIND
Hi;Really feel for you guys! Here in Yuma we don't fly much at 15MPH why risk plane when weather not perfect!!Getting cold now supposed to be only 70s tomorrow and might even rain first time in about 5 months I think!Last 6 months only about 3-4 days that didn't fly because of the wind!Of course being retired have more freedom to choose flight times. And a nice 600' blacktop runway out in the desert spoils me for going back up north to fight trees etc!Hope your winds will leave so you can enjoy your lanes too!

RE: Orange FASST 2.4 rec .from HobbyKing
I have several of these and am well satisfied use in 60-120 size planes friend uses his in a big gasser and have been well satisfied and will continue to use them especially now that HK has had them in stock!!Negative side no instruction came with them!!I went to Frsky site and downloaded there which is same as the orange ones in functions.Another caution the instructions give info about the digital-analog servo situation.Be sure to read that as apparently can ruin a analog servo if not set correct.Just did one last night and aileron servo chattered had to reset per directions then OK but aopparently can ruin an analog one if not set properly!!!Will be the only ones I use now for my Futaba no more of there inflated prices!
