RE: Finally getting the XXX-4 for back together. Ok to have motor/ESC so close?
ORIGINAL: Takedown The LRP Sphere Competetion ESC is killer. Its probably the best brushless esc Ive ran besides the VXL. I used it with a Reedy Neo-4star motor and I could'nt have been happier with how it preformed.
yeah i loved my sphere for the 2 years.. until it burst into flames two days ago and its history lol.. but i think ill get another one

It should be fine. I had my sphere/neo combo in it for a while and it was fine. just a little cramped in there.

Odd Problem
Ok well i hooked my Spektrum Dx2 up to my GTB 5.5 with a HiTech 645mg servo and my problem is when i was bench testing it i would give it full throttle and the reciever's green light would turn off, and the servo would seem to 'twitch', but when i ease the throttle it is alright.. it seems like its loosing signal when i punch it.. but i have no clue why.. Anyone have an idea of whats going on?

RE: best off road 1/10 4WD electric buggy?
ORIGINAL: annie_himself
ORIGINAL: volcomdanny i already have a 1/8 nitro buggy that ive been driving for about 1 year so im not totally new new to the sport
Driving electric is a little different. There is generally more precise driving needed because of the instant torque, more brittle cars, and of course, and completely new car. As far as good 4WD buggies go, I would choose an Academy SBV2 Pro, Associated B44, or Losi XX4. They are all very good race machines and tough. Now for electronics, I would get a Novak/LRP 6.5T BL system and EP4200 cells with Futaba radio equipment (just my favorite).
I agree with the motor choice. I have used both the novak and the LRP systems in my xxx-4 and they are great. Just the right amount of power, and very reliable. Cant go wrong with LRP and Novak systems

I have IB 4200's, no lipos yet.. but i want controlable speed.. doesnt need to be the fastest... and yeah i was looking at the lifetime warranty.. seems like a good deal and its about 35-45 dollars cheaper, but i still always hear good things about the mamba max.. so im kinda in between the two

well its for xxx-t, but i just got a new chasie and its a little bit shorter so the GP's are a tight fit.. But i could prob get the IB's to fit if i take a router to it but thats only if i have to.. Im not too worried about them fitting in my xxx-4 or MF

RE: TEAM LOSI XXX-T SPORT 2 HELP!!!
yes the xxx-t is a good car and comes out of the box with good electronics for a beginner. The truck is very durable and can handle pretty big jumps. I have both of the 2 major brushless motors the GTB 5.5 and the Sphere/Neo combo and there both great but if you dont want to upgrade your radio to fm then I think you should get the Sphere/ Neo combo because I am still running the stock radio with that motor and I have had no glitching. Also if you go brushless it would be good to get a kevlar spur gear also a pinion to gear it correctly
ORIGINAL: wassupgeo Hey, So is that car pretty good? Whats good and bad about it? Can it handle hard landings and stuff like that? Thanks, George
