CNC props?
Anybody tried the CNC props at OSE? I was browsing the site yesterday and saw them listed. "Ready to use" right out of the box, no sharpening or balancing. Just curious, for roughly 20 bucks they don't seem like a bad deal.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
If you run on a ot of pavement, yes. On 2s the truck will flip on its lid from even a slow 5mph roll. Lots of dirt? With the stock tires no way in hell. Maybe with a good set of pro-lines.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...
Got my XS today. Actually funny because I ordered parts from Tower for my sc10 on saturday, and ended up ordering the XS monday and the XS showed up today but my sc10 parts are still MIA.[:(] But I ran 3 packs through the XS (2s) and this little truck is a freaking blast. [>:] I'm going to see how long the stock tires last, then I'm getting a set of Badlands.

Bit the bullet and just ordered an rtr xs. My sc10 4x4 isn't as suitable for a basher, so I figured 'd get one of these. Hopefully I'll have it this week.

True, but they could do the same thing with the Jato chassis (share it among 3 other RC vehicles).

I understand what its original design was intended for, but it would be a nice replacement for the dinosaur Rustler chassis. It's much more tuneable and better built IMO.

Not my point. I'm talking factory built, dedicated Electric Jato.

I've been thinking about this lately. I had a Jato but sold it a couple years ago. I absolutely loved the truck. I also owned (for a short time) a VXL Rustler. The Jato has a much better design and layout IMO....and I've seen a lot of electric conversions. The Rustler layout is good but older than RC itself. What are your thoughts? I think it would make them a decent 2wd/SC race truck (no stupid plastic axles!)

RE: AquaCraft Motley Crew Off-Shore FE Catamaran
Got my OSE shafts in the mail yesterday so I put it together last night and finally got some runs on the pond. This thing handles like its on rails! It was fairly windy and I managed to catch air under the nose a couple times and send it flying.

RE: So I've got a Rio EP...flexshaft won't fit.
That is the flexshaft I ordered. The tube appears to be perfectly fine, not squished at all. I will get the micrometer out and measure the diam. of the shaft and the inner diam. of the tube. I actually ordered two flexshafts and neither one of them fit. Both appear to be too big. The old flexshaft was ripped out of the motor collet and is sitting at the bottom of the pond lol.

It won't fit once it gets to the prop shaft. Fits fine here. Here is where the problem is

Yep just ordered two of OSE's shafts and an extra prop. Then hopefully get a few runs in with no issues.

Yes the Motley Crew. Honestly I'm not very surprised, almost counted on it actually. I read that they were junk and I've had past issues with Aquacrafts flex cables. Regardless, I would have obviously liked to get a few runs in before having issues.

RE: AquaCraft Motley Crew Off-Shore FE Catamaran
Well I took mine out today for it's maiden voyage; didn't get very far. Stock prop, stock shaft (pulled it and filed down the sharp edges on the motor end and re-soldered) and 2 gens ace 2s 4000mah 25c batteries were used. I pulled the motor mount out and bent it like Grim suggested to align the coupler and stuffing tube also. First hit of the throttle and SNAP went the shaft. :( So off to ordering the OSE shaft. I had a 42x55 Grim prop I thought about using but glad I decided to leave the stocker on. I had a feeling this would happen LOL.

So I've got a Rio EP...flexshaft won't fit.
After trying to do some "stunts" with the old Rio EP, I managed to rip the flex cable completely out of the boat. I ordered two direct replacements from tower, but neither of them fit. I was just curious if anybody else had this problem and how it was resolved. Thanks.

First fast electric. I switched from the nitro side, the constant tuning and fuel was a pain. I've still got my old MV...it moved pretty good on 50% and Grim 36x55

I went to the LHS today and picked up a MC. The box looked a little aged, I'm hoping it's not one of the first production runs with hull issues. I ordered the 42x55 Grim prop and some 30c 5000mah batts and see how it goes this weekend.

I think the car would be sweet, if it weren't 1k dollars with a cheapish drive train behind that big castle motor, and didn't need an iphone and special app.

sidewinder sv2/castle 1410 3800 bucking
Used the sct sv2/1410 combo for the first time today on 6 cell nimh (3000 mah) in my sc10 4x4. found out real quick that 6 cell nickel batts are not sufficient for lots of speed and driving, but havent bought any lipos yet due to running short of money (darn christmas season). Its geared with the stock 32p spur and 12 tooth pinion, and ran fine except for the initial take-off from a dead stop. The truck would hesitate and take well over a half second to begin moving. to get it to reverse, a few times i had to throttle forward, then backwards again. other than this issue I did not notice any problems. Any guesses as to what I may have done wrong or need to address?? Thank you all and merry christmas!

Well this makes me wonder how well the stock electronics in the rtr 4x4 will do since they won't be near the caliber of the castle system thats recommended

different tire/wheel combos for 4x4 sc10?
what kind of different tire setups are people running on these? i want something a little bigger to give it some more ride height. I'm not worried about racing this truck and if i do ill get proper tires anyways. but i'm not sure what all wheel types will fit this thing.
